I have no complaints.

What do you think about building a stopgap combat vessel and missile? That is, probably a 6kton ASM combattant, mounting a few size-6 tubes?

- Eve Perkins (SF, 25%/20): 5 labs (2,400RP/year). Research EM Sensitivity 6 (10 months), EM Sensitivity 8 (20 months), active Grav 16 (20 months); reduce labs to 1 (assign remainder to PP); EM Sensitivity 10 (long enough)
- Lucas Ball (LG, 20%/1): 1 lab (432RP/year). Research Engineering Section Small (4.6y), Engineering Section Tiny (double that time)
- Jamie Preston (DF, 10%/1): 1 lab (336/year). Research Composite Armour (15y)
- Victoria Berry (PP, 10%/15): 8 labs (2,688RP/year). Research Stellerator Fusion Reactor (4.6y). Get 4 additional labs assigned. Get all additionally-produced labs assigned. Research MP Engine (5y). If still time, research maximum engine power mod.
- Sam George (MK, 10%/5): 5 labs (1,680/year). Research Reduced-Size launchers (3.5y). Research Box Launchers (6y). If still time, research better warheads.

1) Survey Ships
    Two survey ships (one geo, one grav), built on the same general principles. They use as many already available designs as possible: The commercial Chevron 1 Heavy Ion Drive, one grav or geo survey sensor, and a deployment time of ten years. Both should mount the same (military) jump drive and a standard sensor package (1HS thermal and EM sensors).
    Required to develop: Jump Drive, 1HS thermal, 1HS EM

2) Commercial Ships
    This tender goes out to design a total of two different ships sharing the same basic structure: A colony ship and a freighter. The freighter is to have at least 25,000t of cargo space. The maximum size for both ships is dictated by the available shipyard size, and is not to be more than 60,000t. Small increases to weight are acceptable.
    Both are supposed to use our existing commercial Chevron 1 drive and mount a standard sensor package but no jump drive. Both are to be buildable from the same shipyard [1].
    Required to develop: 1HS thermal, 1HS EM (as in survey ships)

3) Military Ship
    Independence Class Frigate
        A modification to the Freedom Destroyer, this is a missile defense ship with the same size as the Freedom class. It should mount size-1 missile launchers and a fire control system.
        We are looking for designs with at least five missile launchers and one fire control. More missile launchers/fire controls are better, and it would be good to keep the Freedom's speed. A sensor for close-in defense would also be good, although it is supposed to remain with a task force. All of these requirements are optional, however.
        Required to develop: Size-1 missile launcher, size-1 fire control, possibly size-1 sensor.

- Produce four each of the grav and geo survey ships.
- Possibly produce Independence class frigates.

In addition, we should probably think about a military doctrine.
Lastly, I was thinking about whether we should ask them to form a combined surveillance force for the Washington jump point.

If it is just a stopgap then I would just as soon use beams for missile defence to save on supply efforts and hope that it is enough...

As representative of the cavern-folk who lived underground instead of in the prefabricated dome-settlements we learned to make do with what we could and hide what we couldn't. Supplying missiles that will be obsolete by the time the next grand meeting smells of a desperation that I do not yet foresee. Still, we have seen little of open warfare, so will defer to your judgement.

Apologies for the delays, this turns out to be a lot harder than I imagined, especially since I have to manage both factions at once, which makes switching back and forth a chore to make sure all these conditions are met. The update will be posted tomorrow since I'm burnt out on this already, and I'm going to need to establish guidelines to make this easier for future turns.

With a week between turns I expect we can wait a couple of days for updates, so no rush, and it is impressive to even start a project like this.

I deeply apologize, but I will be unable to continue this game. I underestimated the clunkiness of Aurora's interface when it comes to supporting endeavors like this, and I definitely won't be able to keep up with the workload of this when school starts in a few weeks, so yeah. Again, I'm really sorry since it seems like you guys put a lot of effort and calculations into your work, and it feels like I made you do all that for nothing. 


Of course, if any of you think you are man enough to GM this yourself, and you want to, I can hand it over to you, but I don't think anyone would want to do that.
