An iron bed with hanging rings of iron. I'd like to imagine it has bedsprings, but being dwarves, it's probably just a slab of solid iron. It could probably go with that magnetite shoe.

My personal favourite is "Otilvudthar Jaderansack a mussel shell chain".
"It is encircled with bands of reindeer leather. This object menaces with spikes of mussel shell"
"On the item is an image of Creedzeals the copper breastplate in mussel shell"

I'd hate it. Too many precious shells used, but that's just me.

But you never see a movie where a terrible coal plant accident causes a horrible devastation, do you? Nope, everyone seems to think that nuclear plants get their energy by smacking live atomic warheads all day or something.

I just got my first artifact of my new fortress...
Third migrant wave came knocking and instantaniously a craftsdwarf got a mood (the one where he is secretive).
So he runs into my crafts shop and starts taking it and starts drawing... Forests, lots of forests.

So he grabs 7 logs from my wood stockpile and runs back to the crafts shop, about now i became a bit suspectful of my dwarf seeing he only grabbed wood.

He finishes up and he creates Ungegellest, ''The Failed Kin'', a Oaken crown. (I was intrigued of course at what it said so i looked at the description and saw... this)

''This is a oaken Crown. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is decorated with oak and maple.
On the item is an image of Bomrek Paddledcrypt the dwarf and Fewetha Wheelfur the Lover of Tusks the elf in oak.
Fewetha Wheelfur the lover of Tusks is striking down Bomrek Paddledcrypt.
The artwork relates to the killing of the dwarf Bomrek Paddledcrypt by the elf Fewetha Wheelfur the Lover of Tusks in Paddlestake the Strong Tower in the midsummer of 59 during the Duel of the Elf Fewetha Wheelfur the Lover of Tusks and the dwarf Bomrek Paddledcrypt.''

So let me get this straight, a dwarf migrates to my fort and the first thing he does is get a mood. And what he creates is a crown which tells of an Elf (AN ELF) killing a fellow Dwarf... I get the feeling this craftsdwarf isn't all he says he is. I get the feeling he is actually an Elf in disguise ready to kill my entire fort from the inside.

(But hey, at least i got a Legendary Craftsdwarf/elf)

Always nice to see the silver lining.

This last fort has had an abundance of zinc anvils, tetrahedrite querns, a raw adamantine millstone, an elephant hid drum and a mug. So far the two useful artifacts have been an adamantine high boot (Spiked, banded) and a recurve bow made of bone, rings of raw adamantine, spikes of peridot, an image of the drum in wool.

Pig iron weapons. So many pig iron weapons. My moody dwarves (all trained in making silver warhammers for my weapon traps to get weaponcrafting as their highest skill) seem to love the intermediary between the two actually useful metals. A hammer, and axe, and a shortsword. And, of course, when I finally got candy he made a candy warhammer. Well at least now I KNOW they're screwing with me.
