What is we dried fruit to sell?

There's probably lots of crazy things we could do with our expansion lots. Dried fruit. Fruit juice. Open our own market and skip the middleman. Build a rocket and grow fruit on Mars. It's a suggestion game, after all. The biggest obstacle is our "mostly-empty stockpile of building materials."

I'm okay with expanding the growing operation first, as per Naturegirl's proposal, but the buildings could be where the FUN! lies.

P.S. @Naturegirl, did you have a place in mind yet for the cold-preference xenof? The outdoors is temperate and our greenhouse building is currently keeping hot climate fruits so refrigerating that is out of the question.

Buying lots of ice for a coldhouse sounds expensive. Maybe we could set up some sort of storage for whatever frozen water we get during winter? IIRC temperate implies snowfall and such during the coldest parts of the year.

You make $54 from qiplot sales and $17 from senak sales, for a total of $71. After buying 1 sack of polap, ingo, and xenof seeds each you are left with $20.

How much Arqusin was obtained from the experimental breeding? Enough to plant at least a slot?

I propose we plant the ingo in the greenhouse. I'd also like to see a polap-ingo hybrid down the line.

I'd also like to have us Extract the seeds from two lots of senak and two lots of qiplot for planting, and try canning one lot of each and storing them in the manor.

Could we buy an old refrigerated semi trailer and grow cold weather plants inside there?

For some reason the mention of a rundown manor house had me thinking this is set in some sort of victorian era estate with the MC having inherited the place from his uncle lol.

But yeah, the trailer thing sounds like a solid plan!

I just realized that we were never told the time period so a refrigerated trailer might not exist for us to buy.

You plant a sack of ingo seeds, then spend a boring evening picking seeds from fruits. You look into home canning kits and find one on sale for $10. You feel that the work would go a lot better, however, if you invested in more proper canning equipment. You also find a building supplies catalogue.

Lets look into how much a proper canning setup would cost, then explore the manor house and see what all needs to be repaired. Also find out what year it is.

Purchase a calendar. Sell fruit.

I'd also want to plant fruit but too lazy to check climate requirements

One glance at the calendar you've hung in the manor confirms the year is 1927. You then decide to tour the building to see what needs to be done.

The manor is in a state, to say the least. Time and looters have done their damage to the structure. The exact state of the manor varies from 'livable enough' in some areas to 'rat's den' in others. Many things need to be fixed or replaced. It's going to be a lot of work to fix up, but that's why you bought it.

You also look into canneries. The smallest proper setup costs $50 and needs its own building, which takes up a single expansion slot as well as some building materials.

We should get an estimate for how much it would cost to fix the roof of the manor.
