If you look in the raws, you will see the comment "need to go w/ all egg mats when growths support it" - normal eggs have multiple materials (shell, yolk, and white), but DF isn't yet capable of producing plant growths made of multiple materials.

Wait, but that means my strawberrys and blueberrys have yet to be developed and cannot pro-create until toady decides to take the issue out of the backburner? My OCD for undeveloped farming areas is killing me!
