FPS in Gravearmor (850+ dwarves) is 3-6 (v0.47.05 lives on).

You do realize that 0.47.05 is never getting updated, right? If you want the artifact list to be sorted, head over to the Modding forum and ask someone to write a DFHack Lua script which sorts df.global.world.items.ANY_ARTIFACT.
