"Traders" bunching up by the border of my embark?

Something must be up with this? They arrive with Migrant waves, are represented by @ and are marked as Friendly. I think this is probably a bug? Should I report it? Has anyone else experienced this?

I think this may be an unintended consequence of fixing the 'leaves map, no longer exists' bug. Which is fixed. 'cause the first 'trader' like this I ever got, Iden Workblot, reappeared a year or so later.
