I just struck the motherload! (Save game file added to OP)
« on: February 19, 2012, 11:02:35 am »

Since the save files are no longer good for the new version, I started a new game and made a new human outsider peasant.

I started to train him up by sneak swimming and noticed some really bad lag out in the middle of the ocean.

This is what I found:

According to the map it was some creatures lair, but it was completely unguarded.

So I went from having only a copper spear and large copper knife, to fully geared in superior armor and weapons with literally hundreds of ammo, and tons of gems and gold.

It's nice being filthy stinking rich right in the beginning.

Pretty darn lucky I say!

Here's the save for those who want it: http://www.mediafire.com/?g7p5xeyd9ek2bpg

500 Year old medium region.  Lots of tombs, dungeons, and lairs as well as three necromancer towers.

A retired human outsider named Nom Rash "The God of Death" is available with legendary swimming and great sneak.   No other skills so you can customize however.

Nom Rash is outfitted with good bronze armor, a few weapons and other basic gear as well as 125 gold for the town he retired in.

Might need Phoebus 34.02_v01 tileset.  File zipped with 7 zip, hosted on mediafire because the save is 145.69 megs.

Here's a map to the treasure:

Can you post world and history seed for those who want to gen it themselves instead of DLing a huge file?

Just so you know though, the world I use is in the year 505.

It took me an entire day to generate it, that is why the file is so large.

If the treasure trove is not there when you generate the world, that would be the reason why.

Here's the world gen stuff.

Can't help but think you just missed an earthquake that sank the ass into the water and made his stuff float out from the flash flooding.

Cool :D
keep us updated about how your hero fares, with all this first class gear
(i.e. if whether survives for a long time and slaughters countless creatures of the night, or gets killed by the first ambush, despite its gear)

DO WANT SAVE !

The world is over 500 years old.  It's just over 200 megs, it takes around 2-3 minutes just to retire or save.  It also uses the most recent Phoebus tileset. If you still want it, I can upload it.

Cool :D

I usually don't die on characters anymore. He's currently done nothing but leveled up swimming to legendary +2 and sneaking to great I believe, no fighting skills really.

Never saw anything like that. That's awesome!

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

There is but one explanation;

The Russian loses juice.

Turns out that this world is adventurer mode heaven, tons of tombs, lairs, semi-megabeasts, EVERYWHERE!

There are enemies that are pretty tough as well.  The legends file for this world is 2.53 GIGS!

I just found myself a new goal, "The Assault of Canyonmazes."  Funded by the treasure hoard.

Gonna steal that necromancy knowledge!

I'd have to find a vampire first.  I uploaded the save and put it in the original post.
