Seems like it. You're probably celebrating the lack of work. :D

Thanks. But did I really have to be a female lye maker? Ah well. Also, I will only be able to do my turn on weekends, though I should be able to finish it in one weekend. I just hope the fort isn't dead yet. I do not know how to take screenshots. Is there an in-game command for it?

There's a key called Print Screen. Or PrntScrn. Or whatever. It's somewhere in the top right near Insert and del and all these keys. Press it and it copies the content of your screen into the clipboard. You can then paste it into something like MS Paint.

Pro-tip: Alt-PrntScrn restricts the picture to the active window. That should make image processing easier.

And hey, as soon as we set up a hospital, you'll be involved in making the soap.

Thanks. I've noticed that you don't use a graphics pack. Are you crazy, or robotic, or both?

I prefer vanilla as well, it's more of a personal opinion more than anything else

This means that you need to build a migrant pit! Prefereble a dark hole hidden under the hospital, a secret laboratory! Kidnap migrant-throw him in hole-cut him open-let him recover-repeat.

Summer

1st of Hematite

Work goes on. I hope everything will be finished before we get more visitors.

14th of Hematite

This is the tree farm so far. It will take some time, but soon we'll have wood without going outside.

21th of Hematite

I'm back. I'm no longer restricted to poke my namesake to do things in my stead.

Well, I think I'm stuck down there. Great.

25th of Hematite

Seems like TheAxiom is throwing a party. Alone. Whatever. Meanwhile, my designated host should be happily digging about. Being a real ghost sucks.

1th of Malachite

A certain Fath Okiruzol is taken by a fey mood. I never got what a fey was anyways. What bothers me is that she doesn't run straight to a workshop like most dwarfs do in that situation.

Ah, that explains it. I haven't seen a clothier's workshop around here. Or I haven't found it yet. I have space for one dug out when-

Oh carp. It seems like I didn't keep Gigmaster busy enough.

Phew.

6th of Malachite

Finally, I'm back to my old ghostless state. I have to admit, I like it better that way.

7th of Malachite

Let's see what she's going to make.

9th of Malachite

Well, someone sure likes her silk.

13th of Malachite

Uhm... nice dress.

16th of Malachite

Another wave of migrants.

A mechanic with a hand for bees. Why am I picturing mechanical killer bees now?

These two immediately joined the military after they arrived.

24th of Malachite

Congratulations? Thinking about how she spent the months in question cooking... I really would have prefered to starve.

4th of Galena

I locked Gigmaster in her workshop. We'll dig out a stockpile for her to dump her products now.

12th of Galena

A caravan has arrived. For some reason, nothing is stored in the bins.

20th of Galena

Those arrogant humans refused to sell us their wood. What are they thinking?

23rd of Galena

I order everyone inside and let the humans deal with it.

There's nothing more to say on that matter.

1st of Limestone

Summer is over. I have to say, it was rather uneventful. Gigmaster has finally been contained, the stockpiles and the tree farm are finished and a bunch of humans killed a bunch of goblins.

As you see, there are currently five children. I'm not sure we'll be able to repopulate our civilization, but it's a beginning. We'll see.

Well, the goblins were anticlimactic. Also, I dorfed everyone on the list.

Currently: Whatever we have. I'm not an expert on setting up militaries and hope for the next player to do so.

Autumn

2nd of Limestone

A thief has snuck into our fort. Aga- correction, two thiev- three. What the fuck? And our legendary stonecrafter thinks that this is the perfect time to party.

6th of Limestone

I have two war dogs placed at the entrance. They should notice these little bastards earlier.

10th of Limestone

I'm at a loss of words.

Well, the war dogs work.

12th of Limestone

Yet another baby, this time from one of the masons. Child count: 6. Age of the oldest child: 8.

20th of Limestone

While I work hard, digging out a gem stockpile for TheXanatosGambit, these bastards up there are throwing yet another party. I think it's getting out of hand.

1st of Sandstone

The gem stockpile is finished. Damn, that poor guy was sitting up to the neck in gems already. Still, I don't get this aversion to bins.

11th of Sandstone

With the fortress working as it should, I've decided that it's time to go after the adamantine pillar I found. Wait. WAIT.

Now tell me what's odd here. If you can't see it, look closer.

Closer.

Yes. There are two pillars. Two of these fucking things. TWO!

17th of Sandstone

I reached the north pillar. It looks way nicer if you don't see it through the magma sea.

18th of Sandstone

Yet another party. I couldn't care less, as long as the miners are still working.

22nd of Sandstone

Migrants arrive. We're now at 53 dwarves.

28th of Sandstone

I met the third miner from the magma incident on the way down to the adamantine pillar. For some reason, he's never been declared dead, so I can't give him the peace he wants.

14th of Timber

The caravan has arrived. The first thing we buy is all the coal they took with them.

26th of Timber

We uncover more and more adamantine. I'd say that the days of steel are counted. Still... I fear to dig into it. I have a bad feeling.

1st of Moonstone

Winter has arrived. We've had lots of thieves, more adamantine and enough supplies to at least get through the winter.

And just for the record:

This is mine. Looking is allowed, touching... not.

It's an uneventful year. Okay, Felcis said the same thing, and then winter hit the fan.

Have I been re-dorfed?

I want to tell you they were bad men, cephalo.  I want to tell you that with a better overseer the Fortress never would've gotten so bad someone would get offed in a pointless fisticuffs.
But the sad truth charlie?
It was inevitable.
