UPDATE POST:
http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=104354.msg3106036#msg3106036I was trying to gen a world with an evil biome containing/next to both iron and flux. Instead, I got a world with this:
Yes, an elephant monster is every bit as COMPLETELY TERRIFYING as you might expect. However, she never got much of a chance to shine in the early history. She was captured by a human civ, who teamed up with the nearby dwarf civ to harry her goblin civ almost to the point of extinction.
Until she escaped.
Those little snippets of history I've shown you? Those are the only pieces of her many, many pages of history that isn't constant murder.
Because after she escaped, the humans and dwarves teamed up for the next
9 16 decades in an attempt to kill her. And they failed so very miserably:
In addition to
3820 6148 named kills, she also took down
32059 humans, 17033 dwarves, 1350 elves, and 67 goblins 50652 humans, 28533 dwarves, 1420 elves, and 1010 goblins for a total of 87763 sentient kills.
The entire history of her civ after she escaped was them being attacked and her sallying out alone (or almost alone; occasionally a goblin would tag along and get killed or she'd make a brief trek to tame some giant olms) against a couple thousand attackers, and winning.
She's still alive with 4 goblins in Maligncrosses; they are the sole population of The Disloyalty of Contesting.
Perhaps I'll regen with longer history and see what happens....... Tried it, it worked!
Maligncrosses is in the lower-right segment of the world here:
So if you want to embark near there and wait for the goblins to send their general, good luck.

Sadly she's in a dark fortress so you can't even find her in adventure mode. However, the necro tower in that last pic has a platinum slab, so you can see how good that is for skullsmashing.
Also this world has the first example I've seen of two dwarf civs going to war. One civ was led by a vampire who was upset over the other civ's worship of laws. I wonder what would happen if I stopped worldgen in the middle of that war and embarked as one of the two civs...
P.S. the world also DID have a spot with flux and magnetite next to a sinister mountain range... can't wait to try it out ^________^
