I've been busy with moving to a new apartment, and a succession game on the community games forums. When I get my turn complete I'll be returning to this LP to finish it out.

Turn 172 Addendum

Time to throw some money around! The Bajorans are getting a hefty bribe to help speed their membership in our great Federation.

Turn 173

Our scientists Admirals Haspen, Sirus, and Jarod Cain continue their investigation regarding the effects of photon torpedoes on sapient races. Progress is slow, but we are beginning to develop some solid theories. So far, it would appear that it makes them extremely agitated. Whether this indicates fear, hostility, or sexual arousal remain to be seen. Testing will continue.

Turn 174

The sharp decline in local population in the subject systems seems to indicate that the agitation is unlikely to the result of increased breeding. Hopefully further tests will illuminate the situation further.

In other news, 90% of the empire continues to construct improvements to industry and production. Also I'm sending the Bajorans another bribe. Being rich is awesome! Us playing fast and loose with galactic diplomacy.

Turn 175

With a +190% boost to biotech research augmenting our already-massive research efforts, we blaze through a new biotech upgrade.

Next we'll do propulsion and weapons to round-out the 6th level for all our tech.

Other than that, the only news around the empire is that the USS Tinalynn A, a colony ship, is heading to the Bajor system for a little terraforming duty before they join our great Federation.

I'm back! It's been a while and it's time to get back on the horse. I've had a ton going on in my personal life (most of it most unpleasant), and then got involved in this very cool succession game. Try it, there are plenty of turns for everyone!

In terms of this LP, I'll keep going as long as there's some interest. Please let me know if you're interested in me keeping this up. Realistically, after killing that cube we've already beaten the best this game has to offer. It's just a matter of time until we win, and probably big chunks of the future will be us slowly bombing Romulans, Ferengi, and Cardassians into dust. Let me know what you think.

The "getting back on the horse" will be a bit on-and-off for a while. I just had my wisdom teeth removed this week and I've got plans this weekend. But expect more updates soon.
