[Succession] Quantum Fortress - **Free-For-All!**

Welcome to Quantum Fortress, a fortress existing across multiple parallel worlds!

*I started the fortress with Vanilla DF 0.34.07, only modification is to remove aquifers - personal preference of mine. Up to each player what visuals to use. I stick with simple square curses. The other players have decided to upgrade to the latest version.*

This is a succession fort where multiple overseers take over each turn and create new threads to the story which exist in parallel to each other. The fortress will expand into many parallel universes. Some will fall quickly and violently, others will prosper. As the game becomes more complicated, readers and future overseers alike will be able to follow each story through the diagram at the end of this post.

Now on to the turnlist. The person at the top of the list is automatically signed up for upcoming threads. If there is more than one thread about to open up, the player may choose which one they would like. When your turn comes, I'll send a PM and you will have three (3) days to claim the save before we move on to the next person on the list and you are moved to the bottom. I hope that makes sense... If I have missed anyone, please let me know and I'll update the list!

Finally, ninjanomnom has set up a wiki as an alternative way to keep track of the multiverse and everything it contains. This is my first time attempting to organize something like this, so polite critique and suggestions are welcome. :D

Should put up a few rules of what you can't do.
ALSO: What texture pack if any are we using? (I think Phoebus)

EDIT: Ilral seem he would be a good military dwarf.

I don't use any texture packs. Don't like them. If others wish to do so on your turn, go ahead.

Rules for what NOT to do? Well, I guess if you have the only surviving universe, please don't destroy it so it can split off again and create more threads. Other than that, I think "no holds barred" pretty much covers it. As long as there's another universe left to fall back on.

EDIT: I suppose we should say no cheats, except to get around known bugs, like traders not properly joining the fortress. I'm also open to using DFHack to auto-dump stone - ONLY stone - just because it takes way too long to do it by hand and I hate having the rooms all cluttered. But I'll defer to a vote on that one, and if others don't want that cheat then I won't do it.

I will start my actual turn tonight, by the way. It took a lot longer to create that first post than I expected. :)

I would say don't get rid of stone ever, it's always usefull someday and its not like it actualy does anything bad... other than lag somewhat.

ALSO: can a timeline reclaim if it dies?

Oh I don't mean actually getting rid of the stone. I just mean using autodump to dump all the stone in one spot instead of spending ages having the dwarfs haul it piece by piece.

I don't see why reclaims should be forbidden. I guess I'll leave that up to a vote. Depends on how complicated things get, I suppose.

On the topic of modding the raws: If nothing else we should make slade minable.

Off-topic: I don't have internet at home so its only on weekdays that i can use the internet. Just a warning in case i dont respond

I vote for the death of a fortress counting as the end of a turn, with two differant reclaims as the subverses to that universe.

First post updated a bit - new rule, no cheating, turn list updated, info on the game version added to the beginning.

Sorry it's taking me a bit longer than I expected to get my actual turn going. This is the first time I've played fort mode in this version and it's been a while since I played at all, so I'm taking it a bit slowly and carefully in the beginning. I promise at least one story update today.
