Horatio is dead. Long live Horatio!
It was once said that the best laid plans of mice and Horatio often go awry, and this day has proven no exception. Horatio was struck down by the treacherous Horatio in the very moment that his goals finally seemed within reach. Intelligence reports that Horatio fled the scene of the crime, escaping with a single ship equipped with the means to clone further Horatio. The vast majority of our fleets were later found to have been sabotaged. I dread to think what further blasphemy they may be plotting. Our revenge must be merciless, and as swift as physically possible. Newly united under the banner of Horatio, our people await directions.
Our home system of Volans possesses but a single arid planet so we have little choice but to expand into a neighbouring system. Two of our ships remain operational, one a colony ship and the other a scout.
Horatio has declared the formation of a Horatian Council to aid him in these troubled times. Do we expand aggressively or focus on securing our territory before moving on? Should our scientists be tasked with devising weaponry of any form, researching new colonisation techniques, or finding new ways to improve our existing infrastructure? Which system should we scout out first?
Choose wisely, for the galaxy is dark and full of terrors.
(Sorry, I couldn't help myself there...)You all probably know this already, but this game is still in alpha and not quite feature complete or fully balanced yet. I feel that it's definitely progressed enough to be worth an LP, but be aware that the game is only going to get better as time goes on.
I'm playing this on the second lowest graphical settings due to my terribad home PC. It's significantly prettier on higher settings.
Suitable (read: commander type) heroes will be offered out for people to claim and be afforded a reasonable degree of autonomy.
Decisions that I feel are particularly important will be made into a poll, but please feel free to suggest pretty much anything at any time!
@Dariush: I'm guessing this post pretty much answers your question?
