This is the OOC thread for this Rogue Trader play-by-post campaign. Young Rogue Trader Ferran Toskhain has received word her estranged uncle, governor of a feudal world on the edge of the Imperium, has died with his will stating the world and his post - even if unofficially - is to be passed to the girl. Unfortunately, inheritance is always a tricky business, and the subsector in question will soon have problems of its own...

Now, play-by-post is much slower and a bit different on some aspects to IRC play or actual live RPGs. Let's go through them.

 - I will be doing most of the rolling. Some forums have an ingame diceroller but alas, not Bay 12. Character generation can be rolled by you. If you fudge the rolls, I will be... very disappointed.

 - I will expect you to know your character when posting an action to make my job easier. So rather 'I try to stick to the shadows, untrained Concealment with an Ag of 34, rolling against *whatever*' than just 'I try to stick to the shadows'.

 - If there's a roll you really, really need to make yourself, I'll make an IRC channel and you can find a dicebot for it and roll away.

 - Dodging and Parrying will be made against the first enemy attack in combat unless you specify otherwise.

 - I'd appreciate if you kept track of your character's stats and inventory like in any other game, whether by editing your app or an actual pen-and-paper character sheet.

Re: ships - there are several premade ships you could buy with your 60 Ship Points. These are; the Sabre, a modified Firestorm-class frigate (50 SP, Core Rulebook, page 211), the Eternal Praetorian, a Lathe-class light cruiser (59 SP, Into the Storm, page 166), the Measured Response, a converted Cobra-class naval destroyer (35 SP, ItS, page 167), the Bounty of Scintilla, a Loki-class Q-Ship (31 SP, ItS, page 168) and the Sovereign Venture, a Tyrant-class naval cruiser (31 SP, ItS, page 169).

Of course, you'd be free to rename.

If you want to create your own ship, and I have no problem with that, go through the ship creation process in the rulebook.
