Yay! I thought you were gonna let it die forever. Glad you're feelin' better, brother.  :)

Explorer's Journal - 8th of Felsite, 253

Those wishing for eggs in their breakfast should be happy to know that we've completed the nesting coop for our bird population. AJ was particularly excited to try making omelets soon.

Our hospital has also been completed and fully smoothed out and is ready for any injuries we may incur in the coming months. And with the goblins poking around I'm sure there'll be plenty to come...

Explorer's Journal - 17th of Felsite, 253

I knew it was only a matter of time before these goblins got cocky. A small ambush party was scouted north of our walls. I quickly ordered everyone inside and to close the gates behind them. We are not ready to combat these goblins, our fighters do not have the proper armor for this occasion. We will have to wait them out.

Unfortunately one of our weaponsmiths had gotten caught outside by the goblins,

however one brave fool ran out there in spite of the danger and successfully brought the wounded dwarf inside. Guess we can make use of our hospital now.

For now, we're going to have to bunker in and hope they leave. We are just not ready at all for this encounter.

(I apologize to everyone ahead of time for the size of the images, I had to remove the tags as out of habit from when I play DF normally I usually have the windows fully maximized. As a result everything is left in hyperlinks for you guys to click so as not to congest the thread with oversized images. I promise next time I'll be more careful and play them at the regular size I had posted in in the future.)

Explorer's Journal - 26th of Felsite, 253

The Goblins continue to beseige us, simply waiting just inside our borders looking for any weakness in its structure. One of our pet rabbits was unfortunately caught outside of the walls before the gates went up; I can only hope to find an opportunity to bring the poor creature inside before it's too late.

It now hides in a small grove of trees, seemingly to escape the notice of the goblins besieging us. Smart little thing.

Explorer's Journal - 16th of Hematite, 253

Our seasoned Warsmith Deroft continues to feverishly work towards properly equipping our military in spite of our siege. These goblins seek to starve us out, in a sick game of attrition. They're clever little bastards, I'll give them that.

It seems one of our proficient clothesmakers has taken on a touch of inspiration in these trying times. Breaking away from honoring our fallen brethren, he runs off towards the clothier's workshop, shouting that he has "The best idea ever!" Hopefully the siege hasn't gone to his head...

Explorer's Journal - 22nd of Hematite, 253

It seems ol' ushrir has acquired all of the materials she needs to finish her project.

In some semblance of bizarre creativity, she felt the need to put the image of the artifact itself right on the shirt, and seeing as the artifact has an image of itself upon it I get a strange hall of mirrors feeling every time I lay eyes upon the strange garment. None the less it is an item of beauty, and something we should all appreciate in our time of peril.

The others tell me they are not worried about the siege, and trust in my judgment to lead them through it. I only wish I had half of their confidence in myself.
