Welcome to the fourth annual Cards tournament! We aren't like those other boring tournaments that restrict you to just one game or to cards which actually exist. Here we recognise all cards as equal before god. So bring 5 of your own special cards and see if you can become LORD OF CARDS!
Of course, we have the same old naysayers claiming the tournament has been taken over by some kind of shadowy syndicate. We would like to once again strenuously deny this allegation, but encourage participants to be vigilant in routing out illegal "teamwork" or "friendship" related activities.Signup instructions:
- Post here to say you're in. Then send me 5 cards via pm. Please include a link with each card to explain what it is unless it is very obvious (ie a playing or tarot card). Your signup is not regarded as complete until you've sent me the cards.
- Your abilities will be determined by your cards. The only independent aspect will be your alignment and alignment related abilities.
- If I get bored waiting for signups the game can be started if it has at least 9 players signed up.
Card selection restrictions:
Cards cannot be:
- Something you made up (basically not from online custom card making sites)
- Something which I would get banned for posting
Timing rules:
- Days will last 72 hours excluding weekends. Throughout the entire game a maximum of three 48 hour extensions will be granted (requiring over 33% of the players to approve each time). There is no "shorten" option - if you want the day to end quicker then hammer the option you would like.
- The day will also immediately end when a majority of votes are on one person or when 50% or more of the players are voting for No Lynch.
- Posts can be made after the deadline has passed or a hammer vote has been cast, but votes in those posts (including for extensions) will not be counted.
- If a replacement subs in with fewer than 24 hours to go in a day there will be a 24 hour extension.
- Nights will last a maximum of 48 hours (after which all players who have not submitted actions will be assumed to have done nothing), but if all players submit actions in time they may last for 24 hours instead.
Other rules:
- Unless your role states otherwise you may not PM or otherwise contact other players. The scumteam will have a quickchat.
- Please do not edit your posts or quote private messages from the moderator.
- If you are eliminated from the game please do not talk.
- When a player dies their alignment and the cards they were holding when they died will be revealed. These cards will then be added to the discard pile.
- If you have any questions about your abilities please ask via PM. I will not answer hypothetical questions about roles in the thread. I will however answer questions about abilities that are publically viewable (eg about cards that were revealed when a player died) in the thread.
- Early massclaiming is not advisable.

Revealed cards (21):
Use this card during the night. Choose one of the following actions: gain 3 life, choose a player to lose 3 life, give the town 3 additional extensions or look at 3 random cards in the graveyard (fails if there are not enough cards currently in the graveyard). After use this card is discarded.
Use this card during the night. Choose one card that was previously in your hand. The positions of that card and this card swap. If the named card is exiled this ability fails.
Use this card during the night. Choose one other player. You take control of a random creature they have summoned, and then give them this card. If they have no creatures then this effect fails.
Use this card during the night. Choose one other player. You will be told their alignment, but you will not be allowed to vote for that player for the rest of the game. After use this card is exiled.
As long as you hold this card you are a singing sensation by night. You can broadcast one anonymous message to all other players per night (this does not use up your night action). PM me with the message you would like to send and it will be included in the morning post (marked as non-mod communication).
If you hold this card along with "Right Arm of the Forbidden One", "Left Arm of the Forbidden One", "Right Leg of the Forbidden One" and "Left Leg of the Forbidden One" you win and every other player loses. This ability cannot be negated.
Use this card within the first 24 hours a day phase. All other players must choose a card to offer to you. You see all these cards during the night and get to choose which one to take. All other cards are returned to their rightful owners. This card is exiled after use.
Use this card during the night. Choose one other player. You receive a copy of all cards in their hand. These cards disappear after the following night. This card is discarded after use.
Use this card during the night. Name a card. If that card is in the graveyard it is added to your hand. This card returns to your hand after use, and does not use up your night action. This card will be exiled if you die holding it.
A forbidden left leg sealed by magic. Whosoever breaks this seal will know infinite power.
A forbidden right leg sealed by magic. Whosoever breaks this seal will know infinite power.
Use this ability during the night. Choose one dead player. A quickchat will be provided for you to talk to that player. After use this card is discarded.
Creature with stats 4/3. One time only you may transform it into a 10/10 creature for that night (this ability does not use up your night action). After use this card remains summoned on your side of the field.
Creature with stats 1/1. When this card is attacking you can name one creature - if the defender controls a creature of that name then it is killed and this creature will return alive. After use this card remains summoned on your side of the field.
Use this ability during the night. Choose one other player and name a creature. If the creature name provided is a valid in this game then the targetted player will receive a summoned copy of that creature, otherwise this ability fails. After use this card is discarded.
Use this ability during the day. Choose one other player. That player will be temporarily removed from the game, and they will be unable to talk, perform any actions or vote until the following evening (IE after one night has passed). This card is discarded after use.
Use this ability during the night. Choose one other player. That player will lose a vote, and you will gain a vote for the following day. This card is discarded after use.
Use this ability during the day. Choose one player. That player receives this card. If you receive this card during the day you cannot pass it on until the following day. If you are holding this card on the morning of the third day you will die.
Creature with stats 0/3. This card cannot attack. When this card blocks both it and the attacking creature are exiled. Both creatures are returned to their owners' hands after the following night. After use this card remains summoned on your side of the field.

Use this ability during either the night or the day. You must have exactly 1 health to use this ability. Your health increases to 30. After use this card is discarded.
