Bio: Dharma
was once a man. His father, Deimos, became interested in the transformation of night creatures. Deimos searched for a way to recreate the transformation and its inherent immortality without the unpleasant side effects. Fearing what others may think if they discovered his alchemy research, Deimos fled into the forest with his family. Dharma became his father's apprentice, helping out here and there without completely understanding his Deimos' alchemy. Helping out included chasing down and capturing test subjects, which mostly included lizards and small mammals. Eventually a method was found for increasing the life span of lizards that didn't seem to transform them or make them into bloodthirsty beasts. This was extremely exciting... until the formula was tested on rodents. It was found that the alchemical serum gave lizard-like qualities to anything it was injected into, including lizards. Lizards weren't immune so much as unaffected. By this time Dharma's mother had died of old age, Dharma was 33 and his father was 55. Desperate and heartbroken, Deimos told Dharma to kidnap children for new serums to be tested on. Dharma, who had led a sheltered life under his father's research, unwillingly agreed. It wasn't the guilt of kidnapping someone, but the fear of confronting humans other than his parents that made him uneasy. The fact that he was physically shaking with uneasiness didn't make anyone treat him any more comfortingly. In an attempt to leave as soon as possible, Dharma stabbed a mother to death with a knife and fled with her baby. Serums were tested on the baby until it died, and then Deimos asked his son to get another test subject. Still traumatized by
killing a freaking mother with a baby, Dharma refused to go back. Deimos then tricked Dharma, tied him up, and tested his serums on his own son. The obvious transformation happened. Luckily for Dharma, murder is enough to get people riled up a tad bit, and the humans eventually found Deimos' hideout. Knowing he was too old and weak to get away, and that his time was at an end, Deimos released his son. Dharma was able to get away, and eventually found and settled in an elf village. Why an elf village? Cause, as everyone knows, elves love lizardmen. Lizards are nature-y, and elves love nature, therefore elves love lizardmen. The elves helped Dharma to somewhat overcome his fear of others and taught him some non-alchemic magic. Dharma turned out to be a natural, and would surely have been a great wizard had he not spent over 30 years of his life not being a wizard. After unexpectedly liking elven society, Dharma decided the outside world might not be so terrible. In fact, he decided it was worth spending his remaining years exploring the world. His journey started when some trade-elves agreed to bring him on their caravan, and the rest up to the point of this game's start is irrelevant.
