Escape the dungeon and report to this Nys.

The Nys is the demigod in charge of the Theocracy of Minya, which if you recall correctly from your captivation here, is where you are at. You aren't quite sure at the demigod part, seeing as to how the Minya was colonized by Pavene, the name that you seem to hear very often these days.

But that's enough, you may be a scholar, but you're not a historian.
Another softer voice. It noted how this is one of the few times a dungeon is literally a dungeon. Confused, you silenced it.

After a while you have to adjust your eyes again as you start to see a faint light.
The softer voice said again that there will probably be a boss waiting. You told it to shut up because you have absolutely no idea what it's talking about.

On another note, you realized that you were holding the extinguished torch for quite a while.

Torch discarded.

Arm yourself to the teeth, then go on ahead.

Arm yourself to the teeth, then go on ahead.

You don't have any weapon, unless you go back and get one of the bear traps. Instead, you decided that it is a good time to let the spirit speak.

"You don't happen to be a spirit mage, aren't you?" a disembodied voice rang clearly in your head. If it was annoyed from you sealing it up, it's hiding its emotion well.

Are we? We think we are? another voice piped up in your head. This one is no spirit, but are the unseen gods of the world. Others may not know of their existence, but you can hear them. The spirit, however, thought that it was just some other ordinary spirit. "That settles it. Only a mage can handle this much voices. it said.

"No, but you're close. I'm an Animancer, almost like a necromancer or those 'spirit mage', except I study it, not abuse it." you said out loud to nobody in particular. The voice paused to gather its thought, and in the meantime you scan the area around you. On your right the caverns seemed to stretch endlessly, and a dim ray light reflected off a pool far away. You almost flinched in surprise when you turn to turn left and met a gigantic face. The area around its head is smashed in by a chunk of cave ceiling. You realize that you are standing on a giant stone book that it is holding. After examining what is left of the face a bit more you find that it is one of the Avatar of Nir, to or whom people refer to as Nys. This one is the older one who had been assassinated almost twenty years ago.

"You still have magic, though, and it is only magic that matters. Go on and try to conquer the world with your magical powers."
a new voice, of another god. Obviously they do not know the laws of your plane.
"That many have tried, it didn't work."
You thought you have said something, but on closer scrutiny you find that it is not your mind. Yet, while she is also not of this world, you feel that the world is of hers. The voice sensed your train of thoughts, however, and seemed to withdraw back out.

"Yes, like what that one said." the spirit conversed to it.

"Look, I would like to listen to you all day, but I'm on a prison break here. Are there any danger ahead?" you finally asked.

"Danger? That would be I. I may like you, but my physical form had gone insane. You will have to defeat it."

"See? I told you we would have a final boss!" she piped in again, and went back out before you could try to talk.

Maybe you should shut them off again, this is getting out of hand.

You silenced all the other voices but the demon's. The gods would still whisper in your ears and try to have you follow their wishes, but you would rather have that than getting overwhelmed with the voices. "Physical form? What are you, some kind of guardian?" you asked.

Oh no. I was born a man, and was imprisoned like you. I suppose what I did is the reason you got this far." so he wasn't a demon, but a mage. You still don't understand the 'physical form' part, though.

"You have seen mages go off the deep end, I suppose. Usually their mind lingered there, trying to fight the anomalies from the Entrance off. I wasn't stupid." he continued his tale "The anomalies are screwing up mighty with time here"

You feel that faint feeling again.

Sorry guys I think I have to stop the story as I just discovered a HUGE PLOT HOLE THAT WILL FUCK UP ALL MY FUTURE PLANS.
I will have to restart it. But I'm still going to plan out everything first.

I imagine a train suddenly just like, running out of rails directly before where a bridge should be, and the whole story just crashing into the side of a cliff.
