Dariush you just jumped on what Hapah said, so I'm just going to ignore you.
Are you an idiot? Wait, don't answer that, I know you are. Moreover, you're scum. You ought to be lynched just for that quote above. Fuckass.

I really really don't like how quickly Dariush threw out a vote on Penngo at day start.
Are you an idiot? Wait, don't answer that, I know you are.

Penngo was delayed. Well, maybe he wasn't actually, but there's no reason for Hapah to lie about doing so if he were scum and their kill fell through. Moreover, there's no reason for scum-Hapah to delay someone as weak as Penngo. Thus, for now we can safely assume he's telling the truth.

There was no kill. Would scum intentionally no-kill in order to frame Penngo? There's no point, it's much more advantageous to simply use their kill. Was the kill prevented in some other way? Highly unlikely, there was no RB or any such claim.

Thus, we can safely assume Penngo is scum.

Also, is that literally the best case you can scrounge up after two days of the game? Really, ZU? Really?

Damn, this gotta be the worst town play I've seen since RL4 or whichever that was.

Alright boys and girls, what's the plan? It's 3-2 Dar-Penngo (I guess ZU gets a vote?), with ZU bringing up the rear with 1. Day ends in ~12 hours.

I don't know... we have no way of knowing whether Penngo is lying or not, though if someone blocks him at night or something that might be good (if we don't lynch him). I don't know about Dariush, he seems his usual self, mostly.

Wuba: If someone is delayed and performs no action, are they notified in any way?
Barring roles or actions, no.

[still wuba] In other words: did Zombie actually die and revive? If the target of the Homestuck day power was lynched, would the day end message be he died and revived, or that the lynch failed/he couldn't be killed, as the wording of the power says?

...needless to say, there may be complications here.
1. Ask zombie urist.
2. If a player targetted with Homestuck is lynched, they will simply revive, just like a revival or any other unlynchable status.

So, he could've been revived by Deathsword's action. That doesn't help with credibility.

But why would he paint himself into a corner like that? I think he's omitting something from his claim, but I can't figure out why he'd doom himself like that.

So the two real candidates are

Penngo. Target of a delay N1, no deaths N1. No other persons claimed any delay or block actions. Claims that he was on a trip N1, and as such attempted no action. There were also issues with his reply (when he finally did reply), which IO outlined fairly well already.

Dariush: Does anyone have a defining thing here? People have been pointing to a pattern of scummy behavior, but I don't know how to word a short-and-sweet summary like above.

Day ends in ~5.5 hours, by the way.

Quote from: Book
Stuff on ZU lynch/Deathsword powers.
The question is largely academic at this point, isn't it?
I've been thinking about this, and yeah, I guess it is. He will either die at day end or not. If he does, he'll flip and the questions will be answered. If he doesn't, then he's scum, likely the target of that Deathsword thing, and people will act accordingly with that knowledge.

Yeah. In short, while Penngo is a liability, I still think his scumminess is more likely due to apathy and incompetence, rather than actual betrayals of scum alignment.

The brief case on Dariush: bandwagon on Zombie for dubious reasons on D1, bandwagon on Penngo with no reasons on D2 (before Penngo's scummy reply), case on Toaster was utter bullshit, plus now lurking (active on other threads, pretty much ignored this). Unlike Penngo, he is scummy due to considered actions, votes and arguments, rather than apathy.

Those who are not voting need to make up their minds soon.

I'm not sure enough of Dar to vote him, but I know what I know: Penngo was delayed by me, and there was no kill (barring a silent redirect, which is possible, I suppose. Scum got damn lucky if that's the case). I likely won't be around at day end, so someone else will have to play judge and jury.

I'd argue that the fast Penngo vote (Toaster did the same, and look how he flipped) and lurking (he's only posted in one other thread since Monday) are questionable. That's just my two cents, though.

Makes some sense. I still think him scummy. But sure, taking Penngo out of our collective misery is a worthy goal in itself in any case, and he surely has earned it.

Penngo: in the future, please don't join games unless you are going to play them, and if you are, try to learn at least a bit about how to play them. You did a disservice to your team, were nothing but a nuisance, and were terribly scummy.

Good riddance.

((OOC: In earnest, I suggest you play at least one BM before joining a complex game again. The current BM is looking for a replacement, you should look into that.))

Poor, poor Dariush, once again being lynched for absolutely no reason beyond town being awful. How strange that everytime town's awful it's him being lynched and not some other equally townlike individual, but such is life.

Better make yourself look good poking two of the weakest players in the game while continuing to ignore everything from anyone who's not already on the chopping block for scumming it up.

So you're more concerned with killing penngo because he's a nuisance and "deserves" it than because you're more sure he's scum than Dariush?

I don't think one is substantially scummier than the other, rather I think Dariush's was more (for lack of a better word) "active", which is why I voted him...

Trying to read a noob is hard, noobtells and scumtells tend to converge, but then again, a noobscum is more likely to leak scumtells, which penngo did at an alarming rate (an experienced scum would avoiding them better, a noobtown would leak less).

He deserves it because he is scummy, because of the delay/no-kill thing, and because the tie must be broken. A nolynch helps no one.

webadict: If someone is delayed N1 and then lynched prior to N2, will their action still go through?
This was already answered: "barring other factors", if he's dead, the action fizzles:
Wuba: if someone is targeted with a delay, and is lynched the following day, does the delayed action still take place the following night even after the person's death? Or is his being alive requisite for the action to be actually fired off?
The person needs to be alive, barring outside factors.
Which means that if penngo did indeed try to kill (or if a buddy submitted that on his behalf), lynching him prevents their target from being killed tonight -- barring outside factors.
