Ambush! Get the military out! Kill the gobbo bastards! I want their SKULLS!

5th Moonstone
Body parts all over the place outside, mostly goblin but there was one unimportant engraver who got slaughtered before the military came to his aid. May he rest in peace.

How's the farming pit going? You know, that giant hole in the lake that I may or may not have sealed off. Should be connected to the south of the main farms. Lots of rubble down there. I'd recommend we get that set up, because the value of being able to grow Rope Reed all year (or even just wild strawberries) is an immense boon. Hence why I was working on it when the goblins hit.

9 Moonstone
We were quite embarrassed to find out that there was a goblin in disguise as a peasant in our dining room. He's now just a splotch of blood in the dining room entrance, but I'm going to have to implement security measures for citizens entering the fort. I've ordered poking tests with some of our excess wood. If they swear in Goblinese, they're as good as dead.

14 Opal
Nothing of note happened for the last month, but now we have a craftsdwarf refusing to do assigned work, instead being verry secretive. Also, migrants.

21 Opal
The craftsdwarf has gathered four rocks, three gems, some logs, and some bear leather we got from the humans. He's hard at work now, bashing something together.

25 Opal
...it's a mug. It's known as Drumcharms the Dignity of Tails.


Also, Melbil had more pups. You go, batgirl.

1st Obsidian
Finished checking out the newly constructed crypt when I was told that my year as overseer was over and that I needed to release power to another dwarf... I'll head up to Victory Hall and transfer power to the first confident dwarf I see.

Bah. Fucking photobucket... I went through and fixed the urls. Also had a good laugh at the whole "human diplomat in a mudhole" thing. I love how I totally missed aussieevil going "Why is there a diplomat in a mud hole?" and then brought it up when he noticed the humans wouldn't leave the depot.

Speaking of which. That mudhole was the glorious cave-in site that I planned to turn into a farm. It needs to have all the stone in the middle caved in or channeled (I prefer cave-ins ;3), and then the top needs to be floored over, and then we can grow overland crops (read: rope reeds) in there.
