Well, if you read the article it strongly implies that she got the source DNA from contemporary sources. EG, its still alive. (And thats why she strangely demands it given human status at the end). 

The genome just says that this hybrid emerge 15k years ago.

I never said the thing had to be dead.  But most likely any relative of man close enough to compete for the same food supply is.  I guess I'll believe with adequate proof.  The best proof would be a live specimen, or at least a dead a third party could examine.

If the genome passes peer review, that'll be very strong evidience that there an unknown ape spieces in north america.

It's not an article. It's a press-release that she wrote.

She hasn't published any paper, so, not peer review as normally considered. Normally, you publish FIRST and independent "peers" evaluate your work, you don't get to hand-pick who does this checking. Unpublished research done behind closed doors, and given to personally chosen unnamed mystery-people is not "peer review".

Also, there is the question raised by NBC of how they KNEW the samples were from "big foot" and not just a human sample contaminated with other DNA? She's not an expert on primate DNA, she does horses, dogs and cats normally.

Plus, if they have proven bigfoot samples, why didn't they get a photo or something? To have enough of a sample to get 3 full sequences, that's quite a "sample". But no photos of the "beast" it came from ??
