You quickly look at everything that's in this room. There's a scratching post, a very large cushion you use as a bed, an empty plate, a bowl of water, and a squeaky toy.

You can hear cutlery clinking downstairs.

As you hear the tax collector come up the stairs, you try to decide what to do. You then scramble under the pillow and stop moving, hoping not to get found.

You continue hiding, and hear the footsteps approach the door. They stop for a moment, then keep going.

You get out from under the pillow. A breeze from outside ruffles your feathers.
