Polaris is electricity themed, and that sword hits for Electric damage. It might just heal him.

If Ciro's gonna cower, we should have her drop her stuff, take Slog's spells, and use them until he reverts to normal. Then Ciro gives the spells back, giving us a permanent healer.

If we lose that sword after the fight, I'll gain a 'Is a sad panda' debuff.

If this would work, I'd support it. Free spells are free spells, and Healus looks super-useful. Letting it disappear when Slog reverts would be wrong if we could otherwise just pluck it off him.

Round +1:
Ciro: Reabsorb blood scalpel. You need the HP and inventory space. Retreat from Polaris.
Slog: If Ciro can't be given Healus, cast Healus. Otherwise Increase self.
Riltia: Levitate Slog.

Round +2:
Riltia: Glass Shield on Slog.
Ciro: Leap up and spike Slog like a volleyball.
Slog: Be huge, hardened, heavy, and hurtling downwards at Polaris, executing TRIPLE TECH: THE KING'S METEOR!!! Maybe Frizz self to add flames to the mix for added destructive potential and meteoric versimilitude.

I like the way you think. Hm... Crazy idea. Swap the sword for Increase and Healus, have Slog attack Polaris with his own sword! That'll work, right?

On the one hand, Polaris is a machine, and lightning always works better on them.  On the other hand, he's an electric-based machine...

Do we have evidence of elemental effects prior to now in this game?

The sprite made of electricity was healed by it, so yes.

But this obviously isn't a sprite.
Beating a human with another human wouldn't heal them, so why would hitting robot with robot be any bad? It doesn't look to be too magical that it would do that healy thing, so... yeah.

I'm all for hitting Polaris with his own sword, I was the first to suggest such, was just explaining that elemental effects are indeed a thing.

I doubt it would heal him, but even if so, we can just beat the tar out of him with other means.
