Putnam's Minor Mod Collection
« on: April 15, 2013, 09:31:12 pm »

It's a collection of minor mods! I looked at my science mod and said: "wow, this mod has no direction whatsoever!". So I fixed that by splitting it up.

Mysterious. I replaced all of those diaresis'd As with non-accented As, but apparently that didn't work quite as well as I'd have hoped.

Perhaps the tab right after it had something to do with the replace failing? I do everything in UltraEdit and every now and then it whaps me upside the head... or I truncheon it. `-`v

I just wanted to say thank you, I hope to use your fire wand, I don't have a use for it yet, but I will think of one... right now I have the warlocks from mwmod running around in my game, so I'm trying to figure where to place the fire wand (I like that it's wieldable)...  I just have to think through on things like skill that's improved, and it's safe usage in a combat situation (I mean... it's going to catch everything on fire!)

Use the MAGIC_NATURE skill, it fits perfectly for magic weapons. It shows as Druid ingame.

Can the wand of death be created by a moody dwarf?  That would make an excellent artifact.  :D

Hey Putnam, do all of your wands require DFhack to function? Water, Fire, Sleep, and Magic Missiles have been in my mod since before I really knew much about modding. These ones have no DFhack tokens.

Now I'm looking under the hood, and I have no idea how/if they function.   ???

inorganic_wands_putnam is where all the DFHack stuff is. There's no way to put syndromes into items so I had to use materials.

Okay. I don't know what happened, but I am unable to locate the raw: inorganic_wands_putnam

I have been using inorganic_putnamagic without DFHack and without errors after some editing. There is a [INORGANIC:FIRE_WEAPON_SCIENCE] in it for example, does it not fly without DFHack?

...Putnamagic might be the one. It doesn't work at all without DFHack. It uses itemsyndrome.
