Current state of the world:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Pretty much 70% of all Europe are kingdoms and petty kingdoms. Even Hungary that's got only one province. Duchies are uncommon, counties are rare everywhere except Persia:

Spoiler: For Dutchling (click to show/hide)

And this is how religion looks in the Middle East:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

There are still a few Catholic, Orthodox and Nestorian provinces, but only one of them is not under occupation. Also, Miaphysite all the way across the sky Abyssinia. Two of all the Manichean provinces are not under occupation.

Also, do you want me to hurry up a bit? I could probably end my turn today if you want me to.

Take as long as you need.  The empire needs to be strong for my Nero impression to have impact.

Good game, folks. I really wanted to do more than this, but at least I added a few counties and duchies into our country's boundary. And built some fun stuff, and reformed the council etc.

So, next turn. Whoever it is, good luck. I didn't have the guts to declare a full-out war to all the kingdoms around me. Will you? ;)
You're left with a pretty good council that hates you. There isn't a marshal, too. You have no own territories, and the ones that Lubartas I owned are taken by the Lithuanian king... who is 8 years old. He doesn't have a regent, which is odd.

Don't worry about it, we're playing for fun! Besides, once you get empire sized a little challenge is always good to keep the game interesting :)

The starting political situation is actually much to my liking.  I was able to induce a faction revolt that I can easily crush and my underage brother graciously gave up his king title to me for a power base after I gave him a few counties.  The lack of republics is problematic but I'll solve that, I'm thinking one in Zemgale and one in Crimea.

I have a question though, for you guys, the council of voices in my head.  Should I endeavor to gain the Byzantine empire or the kingdom of Aquitaine?

Actually nevermind that question, Byzantium has a princess who's 16 years old and unmarried, that question answered itself.

On second thought... why not do both?  8)

So, eventful start of the reign.  First a war with my uncle, king of Pommeranians.  Then a war with my brother, king of Lithunian.  During that war a independence revolt.  Then another pretender revolt by some dude from the eastern territories.  Then an invasion from some adventurer. Was a fun few years and afterward I had a buttload of cash.  Along the way I'd gotten myself a Byzantine princess and gotten my son a bethrothal to the queen of Aquitaine.  Oh plus I installed an anti-pope because why not.  Also gained the craven trait, lost it, gained it again.  I can't make up my freakin' mind.

Okay, new question.  I have 18k gold.  What should I do with it?

buildbuildbuildbuildbuildbuild

War with Byzantium, Sulatanate, Sweden, former HRE and Aquitaine all at once. Mercs. Buildings. Bitches Male dogs.
Really though, you could probably send gifts to right about everyone that is not a courtier in the entire world. Keep building up keeps and upgrading tech. I found one little province in the Sultanate that has a ridiculous high level of technology for this time, might wanna send a spy there.

Also, how did you get an antipope? Did you convert?

Since he married an orthodox byz, plus the bethrothal with a catholic king, I guess we're christians now. It's cool though, cause def religion can be op (except mali) if used correctly (by a player and not an AI).

Now, give all your gold to the pope, excommuniate everyone and invade them.
