Thread for Delinquent GMs to pass on their games
« on: July 29, 2013, 11:55:40 am »

There are some games that are of good quality, but due to the GM's life becoming too busy for the game, or they get a new idea for a game, it is reduced to slower updating times, or even thread death.

What if there was a third option?

I present to you a thread wherein GM's can have another person on the forums (preferably not someone in the game) complete turns for the delinquent GM, or even take over the game, if the GM wants that.  Don't forget a summation of how you were determining turn results.

Here are some games I need off my hands, so that they are actually updated.
Roll to Create your Character
(Standard Rtd with players limited to what their characters can realistically do and character abilities, and the addition of a favor rule, but only two really matter: 1-character becomes cursed, 6-character gets an awesome item.)
Tournament of Video Games
(1d-something (I forget what it was) with actions being rolled for in alternating order, determined by a 1d2 roll.

This thread is needed. I'll probably never use it because I'm possessive as fuck about my games, but it's needed.

With that in mind, Dualism needs a new co-GM. It's a god game with a twist of sorts. Check out the link if you're interested, but you have to be able to write goodly.

Damn, how did I miss this thread?
See the link in my sig? (I'm apparently too lazy to update it, and all games EXCEPT for the Skeletal Dragon one (which is put on a less indefinite hiatus) are free to be taken. (along with some others that I just didn't include in there and forgot to ever make in the first place)

12 days from lack of posting, I would say.

I need this.
The GM that picks this up needs to remember two things when doing this one. Crazy actions are ignored and given an amount for the meter* and the main character is completely normal.
*The meter starts at zero after every overflow. An overflow results in something that changes the game. In the case of what I did for the first overflow, Chinese started a war against the whole world and the main character is in one of the few safe places left in America.

I would probably take that up, if it wasn't for the fact that I had too many games already. Also if I didn't suck at writing more than purely facts.

I'll be watching this thread somewhat intensely I think. It seems like it could be VERY useful.

I guess the answer is no, but I think that this thread deserves a sticky. (or at the very least someone to bump it regularly, either for that sole purpose or something else)

It is the third link in my sig, now.  Advertisement should help.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

Ok i have kind of lost the spark to keep running You are a Chaos Space Marine so if you are interested in taking over them fee free to do so.

There is no need to ask for my permission, just post the next up date on the thread in the link.
Id advise that you find an easier way to work out the fights than actually playing 40k to save time.
