Hello Bay12 community, and welcome to my little adventure game. You may have seen some of the games with great stories of adventure that we have on the forums. Well, I decided to start one myself. The game will play continually until there are no more players.

We will start as human heroes of Gil Rith, venture down to the land of the Dwarves of Udarkadol Dishmab, and then on to the elves of Fecelulo, forward to the elves of Edumataviti, and back to Gil Rith. In purple are bonus areas that you may explore, and yellow is basically just extra points toward your score. Play is expected in days at a time, but they can be as long as you want.

Scoring
20 points for each red area
30 points for each  purple area
50 points for yellow area
5 for each notable kill
1-10 points for storytelling

Rules
1. This is not a succession game. Anybody can pick up the save and document their story.
2. You must start as a human hero of Gil Rith.
3. Try to write using proper grammar.
4. You may swear, but don't take the profanity too far.
5. Please put all updates on one post, use mine for an example. (You can start a new post for a new character.)
6. Make an update on every day.
7. Like all other final rules, have fun!

Here we shall start off my story, the tale of Ted Shockedwiped, a human swordsman.

Today I shall start my journey to see the world. My friend Komo has told me that the first thing that I should do to seek fame is to kill a local bandit leader, a dwarf named Shem. With all of the snow on the ground, I practice my throwing for hours, until I feel that I am fairly skilled at throwing. There are no streets in my village, despite the large population. Only tracks wind around the place. I ask around the town until I find a swordsman named Pesor and a pikewoman named Oni. We took off southwest, until we reached the nearby town of Wispytattoo, where we decided to stay for the night.

I woke up today with Pesor and Oni both standing over me. They told me that I'd slept for two days, and I was astounded. They had toured around the snowy little village, and had seen all that there was to see. We left, early in the morning, and set off to the east for the dwarf. Halfway there, we were greeted by the shout "Tell them it was the Unspeakable Seasons, if you live!" Looking around, I see that we are mostly surrounded by goblins. I try to run, while my men are slaughtered, by an extremely quick goblin speeds up to me and bashes my head in from behind.

Well, that was fast. By the way guys, I genned this at the hardest settings. If you can actually survive this, you will have a true adventure.

OOC: I just said it was two days of sleep because I accidentally waited a day until dawn when we arrived in Wispytattoo.

Story of Boshkuc Ismigcasser, Human Spearman

That other adventurer that they sent off hasn't been seen so far. Some say that he was killed by that dwarf, but other know the truth. It was probably the Unspeakable Seasons, a large and infamous group of goblins that roam around Gil Rith. I've been told that I am to go and kill that same dwarf that my predecessor was to kill, but I am going to be smart about it. I've taken up hunting, so that I can improve my skills. The first animal I kill is a boar, and I eat his heart and brain. I hunted boar for the rest of the day, killing two more. I tried hunting in a savannah to the southwest, but I had no luck. I arrived late back home.

Either the boar here in this region are bred to be quick, or I am simply too slow. They easily evade me. If only I was more agile. While attempting to swim in a river, I accidentally fell into a part filled with carp. First I fell in and hit my head, and they continuously bit me until I was little more than swiss cheese.

Lomam Rismunasnok, the Tales of

I asked where any nearby hunting areas were, and I was told that dingoes roam freely in the Eviscerated Steppes. I headed out there, to see if I could hone my skills at sword and sneak. I stopped in the village of Umbralsnuggle, after a full day of walking southeast, to stay the night. A farmer named Cango allows me to sleep in his home. I am hungry, and I am thirsty. I think I'll have some ale.

I left extremely early in the morning, after a good eight hours, and walked out two hours before the sun came out. I swam in the river that I was to cross for a while, becoming better at swimming. When I got out of the river, I saw three camels. I attacked one, slashing at it until I landed a lucky stab into his eye. I sliced the throat, and butchered the camel. I then threw red sand at the ground until I felt that I was fairly proficient at throwing. And of course, "Tell them it was the Whirling Malice, if you live!" Immediately I see noone, but as I go up a hill I see two heavily armoured goblins. I run to the side, expecting a bolt or arrow to slice into me, but nothing comes. I run, and run, and run. I run all the way to the river, and cross it with great haste. I run past a herd of boar, which scatter at the sight of me. I run all the way back to Umbralsnuggle. I get there breathing hard, but alive.

I started out the day by walking over to the river, and sneaking around for a while. I decided that if I was stealthier, I would be able to kill more efficiently, and hopefully even eliminate the chase aspect of hunting, which I despise so much. I carefully examine the river before I cross it, so carp don't swarm me. Those things are god damn terrifying. I decided to test my sneaking in the Odorous Desert. I sneaked all the way up to an owl, and it didn't spot me until I was right next to it. It was too late by then, however. I do the same to another owl. I sneak all the way to the Quiescent Hill, to hunt boar. I find no boar, but I do find some camels. I throw rocks at them from a distance, hitting one of them three times after around fifty throws. They spot me, and bolt off. I chase one, dropping all of my rocks, and catch up to him. He kicks me in the eye, and then my finger. While I am reeling, he takes off. I decide not to risk death at the hooves of these camels, and decide to return to Umbralsnuggle, sneaking all the way there. I even sneak through a river full of vicious carp. I also sneaked up on an eagle, and chopped his head off. When I was walking up a hill, an insane Ostrich Hen attacked me. Somehow, it beat me in battle. I woke up in extreme pain, tried to walk, and another one of the bastards came up and pecked my eyes out.

My name is Kel. Kel Dragonscratch. I lost count of my years. I'm assassin and thief from the Union of Weakness. Stupid name for a civilization. But whatever.

Today is 24th of Malachite, year thirty-something. It doesn't matter much to me. I stand in knee-deep snow on the verge of a fishing village Depthclean. In my hands... Yeah. Very stupid from myself. Silver sword and a copper dagger. I heard about a werebeast in this lands, yet it is quite idiotic to go traveling without decent weapon. Well, I will find another one.

Villagers are friendly. Well, kind of. I must be quite notorious in these god-forsaken lands, as the first words that a clothier muttered were about killing... Dwarf, goblin, some underworld monster, leopard and aforementioned werebeast. I went for a closest one - dwarven commander, infamous for her skill with crossbow.

Oh my! For a moment I thought that I am goner. But, luckily, dwarf gazed other way the moment I finally forced my tired body over the hill slope. So... There are goblins all around the place. But it doesn't matter. They all will die.

I lured one of them, a broad hulk with spear, into the bushes, and quickly disarmed him. From the shock, he couldn't even shout for comrades and my blade ended up between his eyes. Another goblin was on a lookout duty with his crossbow, watching from a hill over the plains. Sadly for him, there was plenty of cover nearby. I threw shield which I picked from speargoblin and, while he was gasping in surprise, brutally beheaded him. Only three remained...

Two goblins were near each other, one was telling some kind of a story in a husky voice. Dwarf stood nearby, crossbow on shoulder. No problem. I threw some pebbles into the nearby bushes and waited for goblins to react. One with an axe mildly grumbled and went to investigate. Whatever he imagined it would be, surely a cold-eyed assassin with sword and dagger in her hands was an unpleasant surprise. Wiping his blood from my blade, I went for the last goblin. Dwarf won't be there in time.

My prediction was true. Although goblin proved himself a skilled dodger, I feinted and got his feet. His agonizing screams soon ended with a wet sound and his blood flowing from his lifeless body.

I ambushed the dwarf between trees. Her bolt went true, but I avoided it. And shield-bashed her right arm with a sickening crunch. Then I went straight for her throat with my teeth. Don't think the young crossbowdwarf ever experienced the terror written on her face. Few stabs with a sword - and everything calmed down. I killed five opponents without a scratch even without relying on throwing various stuff beside my knife. Hm... Where to find another one?

Trophies? Few coins and a waterskin. Perhaps I should seek my reward elsewhere.

Night crawled close by the time I managed to get into the small city of Blazejewels. The first structure to occupy my attention thoroughly was a great shrine. Shaking off amusement, I entered. After hearing my kill score, ranger named Artha (who tried to convince me into praying chaos) told me about a monthly gathering of the bandit lords, which was held exactly that moment in the cellars below.

I went inside and found myself in a shrine basement. If anything, it was creepily calm. By instinct, I went to the west door. There was a lone bandit with pike, obviously on some kind of a lookout duty. Judging by that he haven't recognized my presence in shadows, he was not good observer. Short and brutal interrogation revealed that gang was quite numerous. To the south, guarding the main shelter, were a group of three. Beneath, two bandit lords and their brethren praised chaos just like the ranger in the shrine.

Pikeman proved quite a challenge and held a narrow corridor as long as he could, helping his brethren to warn leaders. Infuriated, I sliced off his foot, hand... He died in overwhelming pain. Other soon followed after him, yet not before one of them spitted: "Oko will happily greet you with his archers!". I beheaded him and moved to the silent staircase. I could feel tension in the air. Deciding of not being pincushion, I wandered into deep catacombs and slept well there.

Early morning. One bandit has actually seen me. I sent him to the Underworld and proceed to get my rewards from the castle lord. He was happy to open his armory for a "hero" like me. Well-equipped yet encumbered, I searched in castle dungeons for a few hours, before stumbling into a group of archers just below my balcony...

In the end, jumping onto the head of ringleader proved to be wrong. With bolts and arrows protruding from my body, I... Arrow! Darkness.

So ends the story of an assassin Kel Dragonscratch the Frost of Hail. Female human aged thirty-something years, who had slain ten notable enemies - four goblins, five human bandits and a dwarven commander - in her quest for a worthy assassination targets.

Today, while I was training in the center of the village, a person came crying to me. They told me that there was an outlaw nearby, a dwarf, that had killed her son. I told her that I would avenge him. Two soldiers offer to join me in this quest, but I tell them that I work alone. I practice sneaking and throwing as I travel. I tried sneaking up on an eagle, but he spotted me two yards away and flew off. I do, however, steal up on a barn owl who spots me just as I approach him. I felled him with two blows, and do the same to a nearby Kea. I sneak up on the camp, and sneak around to the commander. He seems to be the only ranged one, and he is distanced from the melee fighters. I run up, and stab him in the gut. I slash at his torso, but he dodges and gets my sword out of his stomach at the same time. While he is holding his new wound, I slash him in the face, and he goes down. I dash away while the rest of the group comes upon the fight. As I run from the enemies, I give the slightest smile at my first assassination. I also sneak back to the camp while they are off searching, and steal their goods. I also see that a single swordgoblin is guarding the newly deaded corpse. I throw sand at him, followed by my dagger. Just as I search for any other goblins, night falls like a curtain. I run east to a fortress, praying that the bogeymen don't find me. Luckily, I make it there. Today I had my first dance with death.

Tried a pacifist conception... Game laughed at me. Pacifism can be reached only in a huge group. Of seasoned fighters.

I'm Amak Kasar, Controlstill. A wanderer and pacifist, I had never killed an animal or sentient creature. But I'm still not above defending myself with any possible means beside murder.

I gossiped a bit with my friend. As always, themes two decades old were the most fresh. Like panther demon taming jaguars of The Mighty Dune in 13 year, or owls overhaul in Excavated Planes. Sounds like a lot of miners worked in that area. The most recent news were about ruthless assassin Kel Dragonscratch - who visited our village last month - killing a goblin with just dagger. Well, I'm not into this kind of things, yet it sounds quite a feat.

I swam through a icy river and found a great swarm of carps there. Not wanting to disturb them - for my own sake - I walked ashore to the city. There, I gathered a few items from the keep. Two shields to protect myself from savage animals and creatures, helm, serving similar purpose, and two sandals as my shoes became quite old and weary. Also, to my shame, I couldn't stop but to grab a sturdy rope, waterskin and bronze flute to entertain myself in my travels.

Somehow, I got credited for the kill of a villain. All my words that I'm a pacifist and can't kill anyone made people only smile knowingly and shake my shoulder in approval. Well... So be it, then.

I travelled to the east. Fewer people and fever villages. Mid-day I came to the redsand desert. Fording a river was still quite a task, it's frosty here at north... And... Whoa! Goblin camp! I just barely managed to dive beneath stone rocks as I heard barbaric cries and clang of weapons.

Observing anxiously, I figured out - to my utmost relief - that cries which I heard before were not about hunting my humble person. It was about a fight between two goblins, while the other nine cheered and one who looked like a leader observed patiently. To my inexperienced eyes it was like a deathmatch at first, but soon I understood that it was more like a training session. Goblin with silver sword tried to close distance to his opponent, while defending himself with copper shield, as the other one swung her copper great axe in wide arcs, brutal and quite efficient, yet not as lethal as I thought at first. Two of them actually tried not to kill each other while sparring.

After a few moments, axegoblin finished their fight with a strong uppercut, nearly breaking her opponents jaw. She helped him on his legs as others cheered and gave a sharp grin. Leader calmly nodded and once again gazed across red landscape, nearly spotting me. Trying not to be a easy target, I hurried away. Too much goblins around to feel safe.

Red sand vanished, lifeless silt took their place... I hurried to the eastern village. By all means, I will reach it before night... No. No! I see it, but something cackles just beside me! I'm surrounded!..

So... Going to try something new. How about bodyswapping into a goblin with wanderlust?
