> Misty, turn your head so that we can see the sword. If the sword is a shitty sword, don't touch it. If it's a good sword, see about grabbing it.

And about Homestuck... Personally, I think it hit its peak at Act 4, but it's still good; though it is a huge time sink, and a lot of the fan base is pretty awful. That said, I recommend it to anyone who likes a lot of reading.

+1

I agree. I got fed up with the absurdity. I tried reading again and subsequently gave up when I was told

I just hit about six "the last straw" moments with it

If your read the spoiler tags, then too bad cos you ruined it on your own.

This is why we need stuff like the cow. It keeps the thread safely off-topic, and out of the Meta-Off-Off-topic randomness region.

I see your puny surfacer cheeses and raise you some genuine dwarven cheese, made of purring maggot milk.

Let's dig down to find these purring treasures. Misty can use her hands for now, she can get a miner to help her later.

She has barely even left the front door of the mountainhome, and you're asking her to dig right there? She is just going to get caught again.

Then we switch mittens as a disguise, tell them we need a miner to come dig here and that that awesome and beautifull cheesemaker went 'that way'.

If not, we could always dig behind a tree so they can't see the digging. We could move in with any rodents living at its trunk.

Edit: If they do check behind the tree, tell them we're not there.

Obviously the great fortress we are setting off for has dozens of hand-picked purring maggots just for cheesemakers, unlike this backwards place.

Oh jeez, Spring break was awesome! Nothing like working extra shifts all week long, that's what I always say.

I'll put up the next bit tonight, sorry for the delay.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That sword?

That's one of The Fallen.

To memorialize those who've given their lives during the Elf-Dwarf War, the Duke had their weapons planted in the courtyard.  Each one represents a Dwarf from the mountainhome who'd fallen; your dad takes their deaths particularly hard.  They wore his armor, after all.

Whatever, you're just thrilled to be out of here.  In just a few seconds, you'll be beyond these cramped walls and into the open, where the world awaits!

You're an adult, you're a dabbling cheesemaker, and you're on your way to becoming the greatest Dwarf who ever lived.

Your name is Mistêm Kolnåzom, and you

are

free.

ADVENTURE.
