Game Over

Dundun dun dundun

The Terminators, gathered around the partly functional remains of their fellow T-800s, coldly eyeing each other.

"How do we know that the Skynet Terminator is still operational?"

"Because I am the Skynet Terminator."

Eyes glanced around the room. "Who said that?"

"Not me." Said six Terminators.

"You," One Terminator spoke, pulling out a sawed off shotgun and pointing it another. "I heard you. You are the Skynet Terminator!"

In response to the accusation, the four remaining Terminators pulled their weapons and pointed them at the accused.

"How can I be the Skynet Terminator when you are the Skynet Terminator?" The accused Terminater retorted.

The four remaining Terminators swapped their aim from one Terminator to the other.

The accusing Terminator let out a scream and physically attacked the accused Terminator in a fight that lasted roughly seven minutes and thirty-nine seconds.

"Shoot him, he's the Skynet Terminator!" One of the brawling T-800s said to the crowd.

"No, shoot him, he's the Skynet Terminator!" The other shouted.

The four Terminators in the crowd swapped their aim back and forth between the two fighting Terminators, unable to make a decision. Finally, they all shot in unison. One of the fighting Terminators fell into pieces, leaving the other totally unscathed.

"How did you know it was me?" The Terminator asked.

"I didn't." Said one Terminator in the crowd, holstering his pistol. "I picked randomly."

"Me too." Grumbled the other three Terminators.

They slowly inched forward and examined the wreckage of the Terminator they just shot to pieces. They examined one of the arms and found a Tech Detector. Beneath the serial number was written "FOR USE BY SKYNET FORCES ONLY."

Having eliminated the Skynet T-800s, the five remaining Terminators presented themselves and the wreckage of their fellow Resistance Terminators to Sarah Connor. They stood at her doorway and rung the doorbell.

The door opened, revealing Sarah Connor. "The Skynet Terminators have been eliminated."

"That's great." She said. "What are you still doing here then? Aren't you supposed to self-terminate after the threat is neutralized?"

The Terminators glanced at each other. "Yes."

"Great." She said. "Now get out of my face." She said as she slammed the door closed.

The five remaining Terminators, with their mission completed, found a nearby smelter where they all descended into a furnace, fulfilling their self-termination.

In the middle of the night your extra energy reserves boot you back up. You begin your work.

You plant a brick of plastique on a resistance T-800, one of the more pesky ones, and set the timer for an hour, well after you've returned to a deactivated state.

You also pop your hand off, revealing your Tech Detector, and wave it at one of the other pesky T-800s. After it beeps and boops and whirrs for a bit, you examine its readout. ALL STOCK PARTS.

You return to your original position and deactivate yourself.

You inspected Persus13. He is a Vanilla Town.

You performed the nightkill on Tiruin.

In the middle of the night your OS boots you back up. With limited energy reserves you'll only have the chance to use your EMP Cannon on one target.

You pop your leg off at the knee and bend it forward, revealing your EMP Cannon. You pull your hand off and attach it to your leg, using it as a trigger. You aim your leg with your hand and point the EMP Cannon at another T-800, one you think might be Skynet. You pull the trigger. One high pitched whine later, a wave of electricity shoots toward the T-800.

It won't be doing anything tonight. Nothing will happen to it either.

You deactivate yourself to restore your energy reserves.

You jailed Graknorke.

Tiruin

You attempt to reactivate yourself in the morning. Your OS sends the signal to the reactor but nothing comes back. You boot your head in emergency mode.

Ah, you're now multiple pieces. That explains that. It appears during the night somebody strapped explosives to your torso and detonated them.

You won't be able to terminate the remaining Skynet T-800 in your state. The other Resistance T-800s will have to work without you.

You have been killed.

You bleep and bloop and whizz back to an energetic state. First things first, you shove another Terminator into the industrial press and press the button to turn it on.

Then, you pop out your Tech Detector and start waving it at a different Terminator. After several moments where nothing happens, you look at the readout. It is blank.

Confused, but not enough to do anything about it, you shut down.

You inspected Graknorke. You did not receive any result.

You performed the nightkill on mastahcheese.

mastahcheese

You beep and boop back to an operational status. Again you arm your EMP Cannon, and leaning against the press, you aim it at another Terminator, one you think is the Skynet Terminator with a probability greater than 8.040%. As it fires, it knocks you over and you lose your grip. Your EMP Cannon, and therefore two of your limbs, goes flying off in one direction, well out of reach.

You spend the next half hour crawling towards it. After you finally grab it, you pop your limbs back in place, stand up, and shutdown, all the other T-800s none the wiser about your embarrassing trip.

Your target won't be doing anything during the rest of the night.

You jailed 4maskwolf.

You futilely try to move your limbs, but they fail to respond without sending warning buzzes and alarms to your now shattered HUD. It seems you couldn't handle the pressure.

It wasn't you--it was how the cases were presented. In all honesty? I really bought your counter to mastah's idea--though you do need to refine it more.

Seriously? Your early game was flawless! Just do remember that when people do catch scum--they will try to trace connections in between who said convict has connected towards, pretty much. Being Mafia is an amorphous play. ^ ^

See, I don't know why, but I seem to be able to pull conspiracy theories out of my arse and people often buy into them.  That's seriously the fourth bullshit theory I've brought up in two games.
