I started this thread as sort of recruitment for a game project, but eventually realized I would probably be better off doing the creation myself. So this has now become more of a development log of sorts.

Shoddy design document here.

I wouldn't object to doing sprite work/artwork. Just let me know what you're after. If you want illustrations you'll have to bear with me as I get back into the swing of things.

This... is relevant to my interests. I offer my moral support, since I can't code for shit.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!

I can't code, per se, but I can (depending on what language we're talking about) proofread and find stuff like loops not being closed properly. :P

I can enthusiastically pretend to help. Does that help?

To OP, I'd recommend learning to code. It's a nice idea but everyone has ideas and anyone that can implement them is going to use their own ideas, not yours, unless you can pay them.

Fair enough, but it would be a while before I get anything noteworthy out of it.

Pretty much this. Programmers are never looking for more projects to work on; we are constantly in a state of "Ugh, I have so many ideas and projects to work on that I keep abandoning them all before I finish them..."
It takes many months to finish a project, and much less than that to plan one out.

I wouldn't mind having an illustration to use as a splash screen. Something like undead hordes laying waste to a town with a lich controlling them from afar.

Article: Never Team Up with the Idea Guy.

I'd recommend learning to program or at least some RAD tool, since even if it's just in Game Maker or Construct, if you can get a solid prototype out there you'll be a lot more respectable and people will be more willing to get on board with a project.

Construct is great. It's a lot easier for me to use than Python and I'm starting to get a mock-up character creation screen going.
I'll post it once I've completed it, but it's going to be very bare bones and it won't look the best.

Updated the OP with a link to the design doc, and the thread's new purpose.

EDIT: Also, if any of you have a good idea for a name, please don't hesitate to post it here.
