Ori is trying not to get into trouble here, damn it! >_<

The van explodes in a pillar of flame as Ori books her ass down the alleyway, accompanied by the screams of pain from the rioters caught in the blast. After about an hour of running the two come to a small, corner side restaurant. If ever there was a place to get good but cheap Eastern European food and calm the fuck down it would be here.

Ori does as the GM suggests.

"It's easy, if you understand how they work."
She works a bit harder, hearing the compliment.
"So, is there anything special you can do, Reina? I mean, I do this whole... uh... machine possession... thingy..."

Reina shrugs. "Not really. I'm not anything special as far as magic goes. I don't even come from a world with magic or particularly advanced technology. Though I DID manage to defy the 'up or out' rule by becoming one of the first operational testers for the M-37 'Yumi' man-portable railgun, which is how I was Specialist for so long before ending up here. I gotta say, the whole magic thing certainly has its conveniences. The downside, of course, is that the TSAB does mountains of paperwork."

Blink, blink.

"But... Yeah, I'm just an ordinary squad sniper."

"So you're a sniper with a portable railgun. Niiice. Back home, there were... some things like that, at least. But still, that's just awesome."

[Vgray]

"So what is it that you find so interesting about me miss Hel?"

PAJaK-U is... probably still in Club 404, just hanging out on the ceiling and relaxing.

"Ehhh, it's not as special around here as it was back home. I do have this though."

She chuckles and glances at her arm.

"Yumi, put out AEC-7 Caliburn, configuration 1b."

"Hai, Ojou."

A magic circle appears and brings with it a rather massive cannon, albeit of a very odd design. There's a long central barrel, but it's pretty thin.  Two steel-blue struts run down its length at some distance, supporting the barrel at several points which also sport a thicker black cylinder around the main hexagon. These cylinders are covered in vents and exhaust ports: open-cycle coolant, perhaps?  At the very back is the bulk of the weapon, what one might consider a stock: on the top, what looks like a chamber for chambering rounds, despite being nowhere near aligned with the barrel. The whole thing is clearly built for placement on a bipod support. :V

"The most awesome and impractical weapon the TSAB has, a man-sized version of their main naval spell-cannons. It has to be cooled by condensing nitrogen ice out of the atmosphere-that's what the vents are for, they open up during operation. However, it takes standard cartridges, and can easily destroy a few city blocks in seconds if fully loaded."

Suddenly, the ceiling folds up, revealing a much steeper roof and a network of struts and supports that PAJaK-U can climb around on. Blame Marie!

Tasrak looks around for Marie.

Marie grins at Tas.

The spiderchick waves at Kimba before giggling happily and climbing and exploring the space Marie so thoughtfully made for her.

(It occurs to me that Tasrak has no need to pause other than for the convenience of living folk. Or out of habit.)

"OH? Do tell me more."

He looks confused. Yukiko looks up at her too.

PAJaK-U drops down from the ceiling, twisting her body so that she lands on her feet in from of Yukiko. She waves cheerfully to the girl, with some of her hands reaching down to pet Kimba. "Hallo! I BAJaK-U! Und who ure you?"
