>Look around for food to take with you.
Go to a place where we can find armor.
To the troll!
Let's go take care of those bandits!
Food and armor you can get behind. You figure that if you travel west from here, you can do *all* of those things in this order:
1. Get food
2. Kill troll (they don't have weapons usually, so armor isn't too much of a priority)
3. Get armor
4. Take out bandits
You're a bit antsy about bandits, but a troll you figure you could take out fine.
You set off to find food. You haven't even left yet, but Harlin and Herido are already grouchy about the snowy weather... though to be fair, so are you. You find some food in a house nearby. You ask Vringi and Arfarr if you can take some for your travels; they both just sort of grunt. You take some asparagus. You don't live in a very large town; the Duke (Arfarr, in fact) seems to only own some asparagus and prickle berries and such. Finding armor would necessitate a larger town, a fortress... or a battlefield where warriors have died. Let's see if our troll fits the latter.
While fording a river (okay it's frozen), you came across a honey badger. Harlin immediately took it out. Convenient. You use your sharp-ass katana to butcher it and take some of its meat. While crossing another frozen river, Harlin freaked out again and started mindblasting the shit out of another honey badger. You guess you appreciate her rambunctiousness. Not to be outdone, Herido killed a couple coyotes as soon as the chance was had.
You arrived at the troll's lair. The rumors were untrue.
You head to the village in the west and SHIT THERE'S AN AMBUSH. The first troll you see attacks the lot of you; you cut his left arm in twain, and while he was down, you cut his head off. Oddly, that was the extent of the ambush. Quite unfortunately, said troll was naked, with no armor. What the hell.
You head into the nearby village for rest. You meet a farmer in his house, Hestur Brungi.
DIALOGLOG
Glafli: How are you feeling?
You don't need to ask how they're feeling; you pretty much already know. Emotions just sorta come automatically to you. It's still nice to ask.
Hestur: I'm feeling randy today!
That is not the response you were expecting. Emotions may come automatically, but personality doesn't. You have to make an effort for that, and usually you don't.
You decide to go to his neighbor, Fastas Deinna. Fastas is a bit less odd. You stay the night. Well, the troll plan was a bust, but at least you took out a bandit.
