WHAT THE HELL! I just got a message from RoaryStar and here you guys have already set up for the next turn... but I didn't get a SINGLE notification in my E-Mail until that PM! Stupid broken notification system! Ragh! Fine, I'm just gonna have to check back here manually every day, then.

I move one tile to the right and open the door on the north wall -- QUIETLY. Advance through with spear ready and stop on the other side, searching the room/hall that lies beyond.

Are you sure it's on watch?

Yes, I'm sure, because I got an E-Mail notification that told me of your exact response. I guess it just stops notifying me after X days, or something.

Background
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Garrick

You decide amist the chaos to just sneak away.

You walk right into a Gretchin hole.

Certainly not one of your best choices.

Elements of Notice

Spoiler: Xvareon (click to show/hide)

Barry

You recognize the figure as Grigori.

"Grigori? What's up, mate? I found some coins! What should we do?"

Grigori turns the corner, and his face flashes confusion before becoming a smile.

"Barry! Grigori, too, has found these coins after hammering several nasties into the ground! But Grigori does not know what to do with them... Grigori is rather lost..."
"Well, there are four Zombies in that room over there," you say while pointing to the Northern door. "Wanna clear 'em out with me?"
"Grigori takes no joy in killing defenceless being, but he will join you."

There's a pause.

"Is lie, Grigori is enjoying this very much. I shall lead the way!"

He comes up and bashes the door with his hammer and runs in. You follow behind him.

The three zombies and one troglodyte are still there, but are more battered down now.

Elements of Notice:
Zombie A, level 1
Zombie B, level 1
Zombie C, level 1
Troglodyte D, level 3

You turn the corner.

"Grigori? What's up, mate? I found some coins! What should we do?"

You're a bit confused until you realize the figure is Barry.

Neat, I'm almost invisible in light.

If I need to equip throwing knives in order to throw them, then do so; left hand. Proceed north while keeping eye open for hidden suprises.

Nidilap likes Adamantine, Bituminous Coal, Garnets, Cats for their aloofness, Dwarves for their stupidity, and Swords for their Spikes and edges. When possible, he prefers to eat pizza, ramen noodles, and sushi. He absolutely detests elves and spiders. He needs MTN DEW to get through the working day.

A medium- sized creature prone to great ambition, but only when he feels like it.

GRETCHINS! I plant my back to the door and brace for any attack, and attempt to intimidate them by shouting my valorous challenge:

WAAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!

Turn 12
[Prev][Next]

Garrick

[BLF][A:BLF][B:BLF]

[INI][B:INI]
[B:ATK][DDG]
[ATK][B:DDG][DMG][B:RST]
[B:DDG]
[A:DDG]

[INI][B:INI]
[ATK][B:DDG][DMG][B:RST]

Your scream has no effect on the Gretchin closest to you, but the other one suddenly turns direction!

You then turn to the one nearest to you, and just narrowly avoid his punch!
Retaliating, you hit stab him with your spear, his arm falls off!

Gretchin B, the one near you, then suddenly jumps out of the way of A, the one you bluffed.

You and B go back for another round.

Seeing as B is still regaining his balance, you stab him right in the chest. The shot, of course, kills him.

You've earned 15 exp (Level up! 14 more until next level) and the Gretchin turns into three coins.

At the moment, though, you have something else to worry about...

Barry
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)
Almost immediately as the turn starts, you loose an arrow at Zombie B.
Immediately after you, the Troglodyte punches Zombie C.
Your arrow then hits B, doing quite some damage, when Grigori swoops in and smashes the poor Zombie's head so hard there is no more head. The poor guy never had a chance.
From the kill, you earn 13 exp and level up. The now doubly-deceased Zombie drops five coins.

As you draw your next arrow, you watch as the remaining Zombies try to attack the Troglodyte, both failing horribly.

Again, you shoot first, this time aiming for C.
Right after you is A, striking the Troglodyte.
Right after A is C, striking the Troglodyte.
At the same time, your arrow hits C.
With a huge yell, Grigori smashes Zombie C right into the Troglodyte's punch.
Which splatters it dead.

You earn 7 exp (11 until level up) and the zombie drops 3 coins.

The Troglodyte jumps back and seems to be asking for a truce.

Spoiler: Nidilap (click to show/hide)

Aoshi

You advance. Nothing seems to happen.
((You do not need to equip a throwing knife to throw it; for the sake of story, it's on your belt.))

((Haha, wow, I'm really enjoying this. Keep it up! ^^))

(I allocate 3 stat points to Endurance, 1 to Intuition, and 1 to Strength. I then allocate 1 skill point to Spear, and 1 to Dodge. Yes, I'm aware of the XP penalty I will incur. BUT POWER, DAMN IT, POWER!)

Hah! Fall before me, creatures of darkness! I attack the last Gretchin on the field -- let him know the martial prowess of the Lords of Durnhulviik!

No way I'm letting him finish whatever it is he's trying to do. Scream and hammer the troglodyte until it stops being.
