It occurred to me that I don't think I've seen any mounted enemies in DF2014. Of course that could just be a coincidence... has anybody else seen any?

I got one of those weapon master guys on a giant bat, and a demon leader on a cave dragon. That's it. My 34.11 that I play sometimes had about 1/3rd of invaders be mounted.

Hm. It looks like only one or two people have been getting mounted enemies, and one of them may have just said that because "Sucks to be you, Button" is apparently a tempting answer .

Do you think this would qualify as a bug, or just a change? I'd probably say just a change if it weren't for the fact that even when elves ambush me, they never seem to bring animals... and they're elves, that's what they're for.

I feel like I haven't seen as many trolls as I used to either.  I've seen some, but it feels like a lot less.

I've had some, but only squad leaders with high weapon skills, not the whole squads as it used to be.
I did not even think it is a bug, though - I thought it was a deliberate change corresponding to legends mode entries on creature taming and only the persons that did tame some mount during history generation could use it.

That makes sense for goblins - at least for [MOUNT_EXOTIC]s - but elves don't have individuals taming animals, just have all their animals tamed on contact.
