*sigh* I lost a lot of what I wrote in the main because it didn't go through.
The long and skinny of it is, can you prove that the grenade would only. . . . would only threaten the life of the intended target?

Wat?

We're talking about an HE grenade. A High Explosives grenade. Not only would it likely gib you if you preformed the suicidal maneuver, but it would likely kill Aria, Tal, Maximus, and that random guard who went into the room. On top of all the nearby interns. But they don't count.

On the flip side, should it be properly punted, it won't harm any member of the squad.

I did see it gibbing me, yes, but I don't see it gibbing max and aria too. But, then again, I can't 100 % account for what will happen inside the helmate. I was just hoping for what I felt would be a worst case scenario, which is everyone receiving a fine misting and maybe a few wounds.

Oh. . .  its not a frag. . . that's. . . just going to amplify and make it a frag. Well, point to kavak.

If you don't retcon the action, it's nearly certainly going to gib you and kill everyone in the nearby area. It may not gib everyone, but they most certainly will die.

I'm considering making a character, but character creation rules are scattered accross number of posts, example sheet seems contradictory with the rulebook, rulebook doesn't explain skill costs (initial nor upgrades), contains completely unrelated things (magic, apparently), weapons are not organized by any manner, few weapons do not mention what skill the weapon uses or is not consistently located in single column (varies between weapon name and ammo) and, if I did read correctly, it doesn't even list all things available.

Fix pls. Make a copy of the rulebook and rewrite it to match the actual game. Move weapons/armor/other equipment into separate spreadsheet. Collect all relevant character creation information into OP, such as the apparently free extra 5 hp.

I've been trying to get the original author of the Rulebook to help me make the Castle adaptation of it, since he also said that there are quite a number of things he'd like to have had it done differently. Unfortunately, due to his current poor health, I was not able to get him to work on a new updated book to this day, and I am not skilled in the crunching of numbers enough to actually 'fix' the book itself.

As for why there are  things that does not seems relevent to the game in there, the book was originally meant to be played using a different setting. But there were decisions that Bay12 might not welcome the setting so much, so we went with a more realistic approach and cut out a lot of other content that the book was made for. People still seems to like it nicely so far, though, which I'm glad.

I'll still try to get the Original Author to help me on making a new updated and simplified book with clearer rules and such, and a place to store every PC's skills and equipments and so on. Google Doc comes to mind, of course.

Trust me, if I could fix the thing myself, I would.

Then again, with the original Author's health being somewhat of a concerned, would there be anyone interested in helping me making a new edition of the book? one  that's more fitting for our current setting?

Yes, but I'm at work right now. And will only get home in about.. 7 hours.

I'll PM you some of my Contact Details, then we'll see what we can do.

How about you give the book a look-over and see what we can salvage for now?

Number crunching isn't the issue. Clarity is.

This.

I can salvage pretty much all of it. Just need to organize it. Then will need to integrate the added rules from this campaign and probably add a few more to clarify stuff.

I am about a quarter-way through doing this with a HTML file, but am stuck on how to save user-input as a code that can be loaded.

Just to check, everybody still having fun? :D

Also, I'd like your updated Charsheet soonish too, preferably before going through the gate for the next castle. We'll put it on a google doc for easier access. :3

And as a reminder, suggestions for tools, weapons and skills are still open. Speak up and maybe they'll be added to the new book we're doing! :D

Yep, having fun. I don't really have anything to update my sheet with though. I'm broke, unless Foxhound gives me some shekels.
