Try to [make small talk/communicate] with the plant guy.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Turn 9

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You try and make small talk with the plant guy, discuss the weather and so on. It looks like the plant guy is listening to your every word but it doesn't say or do anything, just listen.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You decide to check this tree thing out a bit more thoroughly. From a distance it looks like it could be some earth-form but close up it's covered in tiny bumps and sort of rubbery. The green protrusions don't even seem to be part of the plant, they resemble the smaller vegetation on the ground but seem to be growing on the surface of the plant. You aren't a botanist so you can't work much else out by just looking.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

After you have been staring at the plant and talking to yourself for a while the plant guy walks over and grabs onto it.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The plant guy rips the plant from the ground exposing its tiny root system. There are what look like fleshy bulbs attached to the roots. Plant guy looks at you expectantly with it's weird plant guy eyes.

Observe the root and try a small piece of it.

Do this:

-Try eating one of the bulbs.
-Try feeding the origianl plant one of the bulbs.
-Try planting one of the bulbs.
-Order the growthling to plant the uprooted plant again into the ground.
-Give the growthling some more water, to reward it.

Turn 10

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You take one of the bulbs to see how it tastes. It tastes pretty gross but it doesn't taste like poison. Actually you don't know what poison tastes like.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

To test some hypothesis you try to feed another bulb to the original plant that you think birthed plant guy. When you put the bulb near the plant the spikes sort of carry it into the foliage and you lose sight of it. It's a little unsettling.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Before you can do anything else plant guy feeds the last bulb to the original plant as well.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A loud crack rings through the air and you can see light down the beach.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

What the hell is going on down there.
