I doubt you're going to get a blast radius larger then what you'd get for spending the essence.

I'm going to guess a soul explosion costing 1,4E won't be any more powerful than an explosion costing the same but caused through a different method. One does not simply game the system like that.
The 1.4E isn't to make a bigger explosion, it's to trigger an explosion at all. Normally it costs 1E for a single individual Human (emphasis on individual) and "explodes" is what you might call a Creature Power.

I doubt you're going to get a blast radius larger then what you'd get for spending the essence.
Yep, I know that. Just trying to figure out how much blast radius I'd get from 0.001E worth of Human, even if I have to spend 1.4E to find out. Or that was the idea before I came to my revelation of an artifact that detects soul explosivity.

Essence works by utility. 2P worth of TNT makes just as big an explosion as 2P worth of ANFO. 1E worth of soul probably explodes smaller, since souls have other uses. Blowing up souls thus shouldn't be SOP due to the inefficiency, but could work in a low-Essence emergency as a kamikaze attack, causing small explosions for the price of 1,4E plus whatever that particular soul cost beforehand, and at the magnitude of slightly under that.

You don't need to calculate the blast radius, since any data you get is completely arbitrary. Just say "I explode souls to cause a 10 kilometre diameter explosion" or "I explode 3E worth of souls".

Of course, Rule Zero is in effect, but this would make the most sense to me.

$$$ANSWERS

Less-great trees: .001*(CP GreatTree+4) (*3.8)(PT Size +10)(*6.2)=2.35 for 100
Numbers variable depending on how "strong" you want the Greattree trait to effect them (birthrate and such) and how large they are. Numbers for small building and the same effect of the Great Tree. GreatTree trait is a Creature Power, Size is a Physical Trait.

Polyps have metalworking.

Ancronz: Eh, I might have to re-balance the Restrictive Trait, consider it a semi-placeholder for now

.001*500*(Restrictive)(*25)(MT Infobank+1)(*1.2)(CP Prayer Service+1)(*1.4)(CP Kindaimaterial)(*1.4)=29.4 for 500.

Storing information is a Mental Trait, The ability to take prayers is a Creature Power, and Immaterial abilities count as creature powers. Making more +s increase the effect, shown for minimum ability due to the high price of making the entire race essentially Angels. 5.88 for 100, in the more affordable range.

Gronooths: .001*2000=2E for 200.

Basic race, basically.

If you want to make the (Repulsive) have a negative effect:

Gronooths: .001*2000*(MT Repulsive -1)(*.8)=1.6E for 2000.

Makes them disgusting to most people, making it more difficult to have inter-race relations.

Dra'fynnyt (...You really could have price checked them yourself)

.001*(CP? Displacement+1)(*1.4)(PT Speed+1)(*1.2)(MT Perceptive +1)(*1.2)(MT Intelligence+1)(*1.2)(PT Size-1)(*.8)=1.9E for 1000

I'm not sure what Displacement is supposed to be, but its probably a Creature Power. Everything else is explicitly a trait, +s rest omitted.

Comeon guys, I made this system so I wouldn't have to waste time doing this -_-.

Stasis energy device: Requires research into Stasis energy.

Rilem hasn't been assimilated, generally favor the Great Tribe's capitalism. Separate cultures remain, mostly due to the fact Rilem operates as its own country while the Dwarves have their own separate countries kept intact by numerous artifact bearers. Eh, don't really feel like writing more about this topic at the second, may clarify later.

Using Stasis device to stasis the stasis device maker: Priceless.

Race examinations are best left in the IC, I generally am not in the "Writing Long walls of text" state of mind when I have to shift through the OOC.

Eating a race: Probably between 100-1000P, depending on size of the race and other factors. Small races are easier to eat, doesn't insure complete annihilation, and is generally noticeable and preventable.
Force converting: Mind-controlled converts don't give essence and can't Worship. If you want to force someone into converting you have to do it the old-fashioned way.
Modifying a race: Stirk picks a pretty number based on what is being modified.

Soul Exploding: KJP made it very clear to you that you pulled the "Soul explosion radius" numbers out of your but and that you are completely and utterly wrong. In fact, one of the posts where he states this is right under the post you linked too.

1. That was a one-time thing, not representative of human souls in general.
2. The numbers you picked where arbitrary and completely random.

Besides, your character totally is Malakath anyway -_-.

Soul explosion VS normal explosion: A God of Souls exploding a soul instead of just causing an explosion would be slightly more damaging, for the same reason a god of Toads throwing an exploding toad at their enemy would do more damage. However, an artifact, creature, power, or even a magic system can get a significant discount from having a negative Creature Power trait (CP Uses Souls) to potentially cut the price down significantly (magic systems would probably have that represented in its other traits instead.)

Example:

Toadrocket: 1*(CP 'SPLOSION+5)(*5.3)=5.3E
Soulrocket: 1*(CP 'SPLOSION+5)(*5.3)(CP Uses Souls-2)(*.5)=2.65E
Soulrocket +: 1*(CP 'SPLOSION+7)(*10.5)(CP Uses Souls-2)(*.5)=5.25E

Basically meaning that a weapon with a negative effect can be significantly cheaper with the same power, or can be more powerful for the same price. Either way, (Uses Souls) wouldn't work with souls that where created seconds before, and would likely take multiple souls to get a decent - modifier on it. If you are making a weapon that creates explosions, it can make a difference. Trying to explode 1P worth of human souls vs trying to make a 1P explosion will only have an effect if the explosion maker had something to do with souls, or if the creatures had some kind of (Super-Explosive Soul +100) trait.

So souls have the same natural explosive capacity as toads. Interesting... Now I'm reminded of ducks and witches and for some reason swallows... :P

However, an artifact, creature, power, or even a magic system can get a significant discount from having a negative Creature Power trait (CP Uses Souls) to potentially cut the price down significantly (magic systems would probably have that represented in its other traits instead.)
Ok, I can actually do quite a lot with this modifier. In fact, I've already come up with a design for a creature based around this concept. The base creature isn't original but it's got a neat hat so whatever.

Basically meaning that a weapon with a negative effect can be significantly cheaper with the same power, or can be more powerful for the same price.
So would a gun that shoots soul bullets count as having (Uses Souls)? There's no inherent malus to a gun that only takes those kinds of bullets, but the difficulty in acquiring such bullets would make the gun rather expensive to fire. By the way, I'd like to assure you that this isn't an idle train of thought. We're in the modern era so I may have to update Iliseth's weaponry in the semi-near future.

Trying to explode 1P worth of human souls vs trying to make a 1P explosion will only have an effect if the explosion maker had something to do with souls, or if the creatures had some kind of (Super-Explosive Soul +100) trait.
*giggles malevolently*

Ok, so the creature I came up with in response to your response is a dragon that burns its soul to produce what I'll eventually call true dragonfire.

Wait, where is everyone getting all these numbers? The only numbers I saw where in the second post, and I don't see +5 or -2.
And what category is birthrate even in? Or Holy? They don't seem to match the other numbers at all.

tldr; Mostly this is about the cost of making a magic construct which is a walking furnace (which uses magic, not fire) capable of turning metal into spikes.

Wait, where is everyone getting all these numbers? The only numbers I saw where in the second post, and I don't see +5 or -2.
A little technique I picked up from Ye Gods 2. You look at the pattern of the bonuses and then continue the pattern along to determine the prices of higher and lower traits. I didn't have much to work with to determine the -2 so it's basically just a guess, but the pattern I reached for Creature Power+5 is:
CP+1=1+0.4
CP+2=1+0.4+(0.4+0.2)
CP+3=1+0.4+(0.4+0.2)+(0.4+0.2+0.2)
CP+4=1+0.4+(0.4+0.2)+(0.4+0.2+0.2)+(0.4+0.2+0.2+0.2)
CP+5=1+0.4+(0.4+0.2)+(0.4+0.2+0.2)+(0.4+0.2+0.2+0.2)+(0.4+0.2+0.2+0.2+0.2)
...and so forth. I've failed to put this in algebraic form but that's how it is for Physical - add 0.2 to the additions of the multiplier.

And what category is birthrate even in? Or Holy? They don't seem to match the other numbers at all.
Birthrate is Physical and Holy is Creature Power. I had to guess for Birthrate but Holy is accurate.

Note: The (Uses Souls-2) represents using one or more willing souls to activate, burning them completely like ammunition. It was more dramatic than just (Uses Souls-1), which is why it was used.

Soulgun: No bonus, since the ammunition would be effectively unlimited as far as Gods are concerned. It is possible to work it in, but it would have to be something like "Needs 1E worth of soulbullets to fire"

The Yuari Dragon would permadie, maybe taking its friends with it, with a single use of it's breath, in its current design. I'm unclear on what several of these traits are supposed to do, and the numbers are all wrong.

The actual system for determining prices is exponential. If we are talking about PT or MT, then the "base" is 1.2.
+1=1.2^1=1.2
+2=1.2^2=1.44 (rounded to 1.4)
+3=1.2^3=1.72 (rounded to 1.7)

Etc, etc. Same goes for negatives:
-1=1.2^-1=.83 (rounds to .8)
-2=1.2^-2=.69 (rounded to .7)

So the actual formula is:

(Trait+x)=(base trait price)^x

This works for all numbers, and is rounded to the nearest tenth.

As such, (PT LowBirthrate -2) would be *.7 and (CP Dragonfire+5) would be *5.4, but it would otherwise be accurate.

$$$ANSWERS

Spear Golem: Taking a single soul and implanting them in a new body would cost the amount of the new body, assuming this isn't abused. Making it on a large-scale would be a base-afterlife of reincarnation (In which the souls would forget everything, essentially being new souls for most purposes).

.001*(PT Metal+1)(*1.2)(CP Spine)(*1.4)(PT Weakpoint -2)(*.7)=1.17E for 1000

Assuming fairly week metal and spine. Magic would have to come from a separate magic system, with an extra (CP Magic Affinity+X) to give them a greater ability with it. A super-high (CP Magic-like-ability+X) can act as a magic system for most cases, but you would have to describe the exact ability of the magic system. The above is only if I am understanding everything right. As always, you can add more +s to make the abilities stronger, or minuses to make the weak point more of a vulnerability.

Are....you guys using algebra on a forum game....

...Yes? The classic Dungeons and Dragons did it, so we can to. You can use calculators and you aren't timed. I personally suggest Wolfram Alpha for online math. In all fairness, Toady has a doctorate in math from Stanford, Algebra should naturally flow into simply by playing DF.
