Opening Theme, anime motifs yay

The school bell rings, signaling the end of the period and the start of lunch. Ms. Sakamoto looks up from the electronic board, placing the stylus she’d been using to write on her desk.

The school year is going into it’s second month now, with students settling into a routine. Clubs had started up 2 weeks ago, so many students have busy lives. Other students take part time jobs, or sports, or are proud members of the “going home” club. Despite these filled schedules, students still find time for rumor-mongering. A favorite among the students of Tochiya High School is that there’s been a rash of disappearances lately. In fact, that people have been disappearing around schools is one of the few things that Tochiya and Kobayashi High Schools have agreed on recently.

But of course, rumors are rumors. Who knows how valid they are?

“Alright then, that’s the lunch bell.” says Ms. Sakamoto, turning to the class and leaning on her desk. She’s much more casual in tone and mannerisms than many of the other teachers, but one gets the sense that she is more perceptive than she seems. The third years like to tell their underclassmen that while she’s a nice teacher, you do not want to see her mad. The delinquents- every school has them, don’t they?- very visibly avoid her, as well. “It was a good class today. Don’t forget the homework due Monday. Have a good lunch.”

A day like any other. Of course it is. There’s no reason it wouldn’t be, right?

Hinata quickly gathers her books and such, then jumps up out of her seat. She quickly moves over to the door and into the hallway, then turns to wait for her friends to leave the room

Miki runs out of the room like a girl on fire. Class and her never agreed.

Ms. Sakamoto was nice, but class was murder on her.

Kyle calmly gathers up his things before approaching the front of the room, and with it, Ms. Sakamoto.
"Is there anything you need help with during lunch Sakamoto-Sensei?"

Ms. Sakamoto looks up from what she was doing- clearing the board, mostly- and turns to Kyle. "Not at the moment. Thank you though, Kyle."

[Powder Miner]

Yua calmly gets up out of her chair and briefly stretches her shoulders, before walking over to Kyle, and upon hearing that he won't be helping Ms. Sakamoto she produces a deck of cards and fans them, while looking at Kyle. "Up for a game?"

Anna cautiously gathers up her things, tentatively moving around the back of the room and heading to slip out of the room.

Sure, she knew a lot of the people in this class, and she was on good terms with Ms. Sakamoto, but she couldn't trust the students she didn't know to not start that interminable teasing.  Weed (her altogether too tall frame left her dwarfing almost all the adults).  Crazy boy.  American filth.

I'm lucky they don't begrudge me a seat with the loners.

Let's see, the nurse should have my pills in by now, although I'm good for the next week so if I need the extra two minutes, but I don't, though I do need to get to the lunchroom before the only line with anything left is grumpy lady, she doesn't like me as much as some of them do, don't know why still, and I should probably work on my math homework since there will be some time left over, and it's always harder to work at home, and...

Anna's internal monologue runs off like a bullet train as she takes measured, controlled steps out.  Anyone who knew her would probably be able to intercept her if they wanted to talk.

Kyle nods to the teacher before turning to Yua.
"Of course. Want to go play on the roof today?"

[Powder Miner]

Yua flicks her wrist and unfans the cards in her hand, before putting them back into a pocket, and responding to Kyle. "Yes, that sounds fine to me." She then pauses for a moment, and after some hesitation gives a rather stilted nod to Ms. Sakamoto, before grabbing her packed lunch from her desk and walking out towards the roof. Yua... isn't terribly good at greetings.

Miki feels a thump as Hinata flies at her with a hug. "Hiiiiiiiiiiii Miki!" She disengages after a moment and turns toward where Anna was leaving.
 "And hiiiiiii Anna!"

Ms. Sakamoto turns a blind eye to the cards. As long as they're not betting anything of value, she could let it slide.

"Hiiiiiiii Hinata!" Miki catches Hinata as she flies at her.

Kyle shrugs and begins heading towards the roof as well. As he passes the girls in the hall he gives them a polite nod of acknowledgement.
