~~Twilight Academy Student Contract~~
I, Vijaya hereby declare my intent to attend Twilight Academy. I swear upon my life to speak not a word of it to any person, being, or spirit not of the Academy, and to uphold its laws and tenants to the best of my ability. I also attest that all of the following is true and accurate, and that I am not omitting any information from the Academy within this Contract. I understand that the Twilight Academy is concerned with ability, not morality, and that any criminal past is not a bar to entry, but I will be expected to refrain from acts which might reveal Twilight Academy to the public, including being caught breaking any federal laws or using my powers before any person not privy to this information already.
Applicant's Name: TMCP-AH-CR-04-WVMF-AATiAl-2PCA. Or Vijaya.
Age: 5 years since consciousness, physical age is somewhat questionable due to being able to modify bodily characteristics with effort
Power: Shapeshifting metallic limbs that can be formed into tools of virtually any variety imaginable and generally high durability due to being an artificial humanoid.
Specialty: Combat
Short Self-Description (For Identification Purposes): Typically has short to medium length blonde hair and blue eyes at a height on the high end of average. Vijaya does not usually appear specifically male or female and indeed has no true biological sex due to having a fair amount of control over their own biology. Their voice is similarly androgynous, and usually echoes with a faint but noticeable digitized quality. They also tend to exhibit other "robotic" characteristics, such as leaving armor plating on their limbs, metal coverings where their ears would be, leaving half a visor over an eye, etc., though these are not necessary. Carries any excess mass at a given moment on their back in what amounts to a brick of metal. In battle, they cover themselves with armor plating that gets bulkier around major joints, with multiple blades hovering behind them at the ready or being used to create various shapeshifting weapons. All of their plating has a mostly white color scheme, with blue accents and trim. (
Casual is something like this, and battle mode is something like
this with more clothing.)
Short History (For Records): Vijaya is the product of what was ostensibly an effort to create a supersoldier. Really, that was the main excuse used for the scientists in charge at SABT to get a fat government check to fund the long sought-after endeavor to truly create something from nothing. Science could imitate life and magic could restore it, so together, perhaps it was possible to recreate it? As it turned out, it was indeed possible, and Vijaya was the first success of the project, created from a myriad of complex spells, top-end materials, and several week's worth of caffeine-fueled CAD and debugging sessions. Since they showed sufficient evidence of actually being an independently thinking person, Vijaya was under no obligation to actually hold to any government requirements other than those required of any other citizen, and any effort to force compliance was thwarted by the fact that there were several convenient exploits to disable any attempts at running commands through their systems if one had an intimate physical interface with them. However, a lab wasn't the best place for someone to learn how to mix with human society -though he did chat with volunteers at the company, including one Alice Hollingsworth- and it would be rather odd to let the four hundred pounds of high-tech warrior go to waste in a desk job, so Vijaya was quietly shipped off to the Academy after evaluating his options.

A bit more about Vijaya's capabilities:
They can change their body fairly easily as long as it's a humanoid form. They haven't really tried to go quadrupedal and it might not actually work due to their brain being wired the way a person's is (which isn't suitable for running a body shape other than a human one, obviously.) It takes a bit of time and focus, though, since the stuff that makes up the main sections of their body is designed to be more resistant vs. being able to be shuffled about at will.
However, they can shift armor plating around very nearly at will if needed, or move mass from armor to weapons and back. Their weapons are actually inbuilt but usually wielded as if they weren't, and can change quickly. Damage to them is damage to Vijaya due to these factors. The eight blades that float in formation behind them can be spun around and slashed at will as well using spells built into Vijaya, but they aren't really very precise and are better for flurry or saw-like attacks than precision strikes. They don't go very far, so while Vijaya has excellent melee reach, they have little to no inbuilt ranged attack capacity - although they're a more than fair shot should they be provided a gun. They are quite fast, and their bruiser-like fighting style can easily be adapted should a melee opponent prove to have high enough power to consistently hurt them.
Being made of advanced alloys, they are quite durable, but do not heal nearly as quickly as a human in exchange unless they're supplied with redundant parts and metal. They can repair themselves without a source of metal once again due to spells, but the conversion process is agonizingly slow relative to a normal human; fortunately this won't -usually- result in a crippling disability unless core components are damaged.
Vijaya is particularly vulnerable to dispels and antimagic. Spells are a fundamental component of how they live, so dispelling them will very quickly render them unable to fight until their technical bits reconstruct the spells - a process that once again takes time, though it does move much faster than trying to magically convert mundane materials to advanced metals.
TL;DR: High durability, low healing. Dominant in melee, weak at range and vulnerable to being dispelled.
