We had air superiority last turn, but it wasn't decisive, which is why I think it didn't see very much mention throughout the rest of the battle report besides the bombing of Cortez' house. We had enough airpower to keep ourselves from being fucked, but we didn't have the decisive advantage to blow them away, but with this revision and the YJ we're about to.

Air power did very little to help us negate the naval advantage in the last turn, and I don't really see how a destroyer that's too weak to do much of anything against other boats is going to change that.
We only had a very minor air advantage last turn. And any ship is better than what we had before. The Archer can at least put up a bit of a fight. Though obviously we would like to upgrade its armaments. We might push them down from a "Massive" advantage to merely a "Very Large" advantage. :/

Since we are unlikely to get both a cheaper plane AND a better performance, we need to pick.  Performance is the better option.

That's not the most up to date votebox, Stabby and Evicted.

UF-SF-38 'Swarm': A modification to the Model 4 Yellowjacket.  This model of aircraft replaces the only utilizes two Sorroria, with the outermost four replaced with slightly upscaled AS-RPG28 As able to be fired in pairs (outermost pair and innermost pair) from the cockpit.

That, practice with mounting rockets, and a cheap strike fighter against enemy ships to take out AA.

kot pointed out that rockets should fire in pairs, not individually, for balance and other reasons.

Fixed it, and specified which fire off in pairs.

UFS-BL-38-A 'Firecracker'
A small HEAT 2.5kg four finned bomblet roughly 60mm in diameter designed to be dropped in large clusters, defeating heavy armor and infantry. Most of the design time was spent creating a number of muti-bomb pods designed to be used on fighter bomb mounts. The bomblets have modest accuracy letting our fighters keep a decent distance above their targets and still have a respectable hit-ratio. Not only can they ravage a column of tanks with ease the massive number of small HEAT impacts can easily light fires or set off ammo when used against ships. An incendiary version is also available and able to be used to great effect against any ships with mostly wooden decks or enemies hiding out in the jungle.

Just as a minor note for those who see the firecracker, our bombers can carry about 725 of them, and the HF can carry about 181.  Given each one is roughly equal to a single impact from a AS-RPG 28, and these will be be dropped enmass...

Wouldn't the bomb be a design, not a revision?

(We are in a revision stage, right? I'm not up-to-date with all the procedure in this version of an arms race game)

I'd vote for the aircraft upgrade as the revision. Design the bombs next turn, ought to give us a huge advantage. But, then again, the design needs to wait until we see what happens this year.
