Voting for any of these. Can't decide which would help the most at Blackstone.
Militia would give us a much better militia, and give our mostly unarmed slingers some better weapons. Favours an earlier assault this turn of just slingers, with grenades and equipment sent next turn.
Ambush the Cannons gives a good anti-cannon tactic for when we send grenades.
Field cannon hopefully lets us convert our surplus kettleguns into field guns and send those next turn. Even the odds to cannon VS cannon.

Time to get Serious
Progress: 5-1
Much is asked of the people, and one could easily understand how a lesser group would balk at a simple document commanding every man woman and child to actively participate in the war effort, but Kasgyrite citizens are made of sterner stuff than that. The old, young, and invalid are tasked as lookouts, barricade builders, stick sharpeners, and supply carriers. Every other soul of reasonable age is expected to participate in the manufacture, and occasional use of, weapons.

It's not perfect. Lack of training or proper authorities and channels of coordination means that the militia will only support on a 1:1 basis with marines. (For every marine squad present, there will be a free militia squad present) The militia will also be primarily poorly armed with melee weapons.

Barricades will be built, slowly, behind the lines, but those manning them will likely break easily unless the actual marines are there on defense as well.



Spire Kasgyre's Production stands at

12(+2)/y Ore, 1/95 banked
17/y Wood, 0/95 banked
10/y Silk, 0/55 banked

It is now the production, deployment, and tactics phase.

Don't even ask about the Topaz, you can't afford it.

I disagree with sending transports to Blackstone this turn. As Helmacon has said it'll risk tipping our hand and without something to distract the enemy the risks of losing the transports.

Compromise. Blackstone gets half the reinforcements, but there is half the chance of Wreth finding and destroying a transport. We need to show Blackstone some support, and the militia mechanics really support sending squads sooner instead of later. It will not at all affect how much grenades and equipped marines we send next turn.

Modified the plan slightly to have one comms Natalie using scouting tactics. Basically providing overwatch for the fleet.
