I am running numbers on the spreadsheet. I was thinking that maybe it is time to resume work on khipha. those 2 mining squads should help a bit with productin lines. Not much, but every bit helps. Only one die, no risk to overshoot.
We should also start thinking about what revisions we need. We could consider adding dice to some projects, such as aetherforge and ESP. With a transmitter resizing revision the ESP should be very good to have, and aether forge would give us more ore if completed, plus experience with new metals.

Plan 1
-2 dice on PL (24C 16O 38W 16S)
leftover resources: 16C 12O 0W 8S

Plan 2
-2 dice on PL (24C 16O 36W 18S)
-1 die on khipha (4C 4O 2W 2S)
leftover resources: 12C 8O 0W 4S

There were also some ideas in the works for getting a range advantage so that their superior guns aren't a problem.
One was an electromagnetic barrel that would hopefully decrease heat dispersal by creating a rod rather than a spherical bullet.
And a second one involved changing the shape of a weapons crystal to create a foot long bolt.
Then Jilla (I think) had the idea to make it so that the second system was interchangeable and you could switch between it and sphere by having two weapons crystals.

Alright, well, I'm willing to spend a die and some resources on a 1/3rd chance of increasing our Ore production by 2 (and having the ability to increase it further, obviously). And obviously investing in the PL.

Like, if the PL doesn't give us a game-changing advantage, I feel like we might be done.

so, what revisions do we need? we are mid productions with the skiffs, so I guess we shouldn't upgrade the pattern now.

We need a fortification tactic revision I guess, that would be 1 die we must reserve.

other possibilities:
-ESP miniaturization: shorten range, make transmitted small enough to fit a ship.
-more khipha work?
-running out of ideas here

anyone has an idea of what we should revise this turn? I guess we could also save a die.

We could try integrating Ikusasa and Itshana, or deploy the benefit of the Ikusasa matrix to other designs.

true, true. Although thinking of a select medium core makes my inner economy cry. But we have 2 ore boosting projects in our unfinished projects bin, so it should work (and will give a smaller boost to all our current select stuff)
Spreading ikusasa to all other crystals should give us more speed and manoeuvrability, although it wouldn't affect weapons: they are all select.
In fact, are we even using any non select crystal? generalizing ikusasa might only be useful after we make it compatible with select.

Anyway, without a pressing need for a third revision, I shall vote

I'm not too fired up about khipha, but I don't really have anything against it either.

Windrider Production Line
Progress: 31/33 (1,5)

The work on the windrider production line continues in fits and starts, but it does continue. The work is nearing the end now, and there's a hungry gleam in the eyes of navy brass.

Soon.

Khipha Mining Techniques
Progress: 21/20

Meanwhile, the long neglected Khipha mining reforms have finally been completed, resulting in the university actually producing graduates instead of infinite academic limbo.

Spire Wreth's Production Stands At,
13(+8)/y Crystal, 12/65 Banked
19/y Ore, 8/95 banked
19(+9)/y Wood, 0/95 banked
10/y Silk, 4/50 banked

It is now the revision phase. You have 2 dice to spend.

Alright, so. We definitely want a tactic like this:

Fortify: Making no attempts to advance, troops instead engage in the construction of fortifications, to the best of their ability. The presence of engineering units and building materials (such as BLOCKs) will obviously make this easier, though local materials may also be employed to shore up defences, such as by piling rubble around barricades.
These fortifications will be constructed in previously mapped areas, chosen for their defensive values.
Units that are already fortified will attempt to strengthen/repair their fortifications.

For other revisions... I dunno. I'd be fine with saving a die.

Select Matrices Intregation of Ikusasa and Itshana select was not a trivial matter, but has nonetheless been accomplished. The new combinaton method relies on Itshana select to create a flawless core, then uses Ikusasa to expand it. In that way we should be able to increase or maintain performance while reducing cost.

Well, we can at least start the votebox.
