To think of it, being turned into a fruit is very disturbing.

I can imagine suddenly losing all your senses -- not being able to feel anything, smell anything, see anything, hear anything -- but have your mind remain intact. You try to scream but find that you can't. You try to move but are unable to. You can't communicate to the outside world in any way. You are trapped, eternally, in an impermeable shell where your mind slowly wastes away and you are driven to insanity. You try to escape, in any way, try to get just a little confirmation that the outside world is still there, but you can't. You pray to Armok that he'll let you die and escape from this hell. But you can't die. You are here, and you will be here for the rest of eternity, until everything crumbles and the stars fade away from the heavens.

And yet you will still be waiting. Waiting, waiting, forever.

No, it's worse because you also have [EXTRAVISION], also it doesn't last long because something is about to explode your sole body part with their foot.

Is it wrong that I immediately thought of a hardcore BDSM thing?

It's a reference to a short story by Harlan Ellison called "I have no mouth, and I must scream." It's goddamn terrifying, but you should still read it.

I was thinking of the trope that goes by the same name.

That trope probably comes from the story itself.

I am pleased to be following the BAY12 trope of going from "funny" to "night terrors" in one page flat.

Don't make me add muffled sounds now.

I would consider it to be the greatest breach of trust in human history if you didn't.

Although, you could instead have them speak philosophically about their predicament. Something like, "KILL ME PLEASE OH GOD KILL ME NOW IT BURRRRRNS" or other similar sentiments.

We have a rich tradition of percussion instruments as well, all of which are based around a musician smacking variously sized hollow rocks.
It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

Well if that's the goal set the material value to something absurd, like 50, and let the free market handle the rest.

See mermaids.

Better yet, make their speech a mix between bad puns, philispohical musing on their situation, and pure agony.

"This is apple-ling!"
"And thus, I am again the earth."
"EEEAAAAAAARRRGH! K I L L  M E !"
