Play us off, maestro! We sponsor some concerts, just for the kick of it.
Eh, he is young, he can do what he wants.
Oh huh, these provinces were Burgundian possesions once.
Rebels took over and the old Kingdom of Leon resurfaced.
God be with them! The Burgundians sure will come knock them out.
♫We're going to waaar, we're going to waaar~♫
Hesse wants Nassau back, and Nassau called in Styria, who promptly called us in.
We're now leader of the war, meaning we can do with Hesse and the Emperor as we please, ha ha!
Now that's a lot of Hessians.
Hungary joined the war, and minor states in HRE do as well.
I wonder how big Hungarian treasury is?
Bohemia comes knocking down to take Kalisz from us.
That's unfortunate - for them. For us, it means money, prestige, maybe a vassal?
Hessians are easily dealt with, and their armies are decimated!
Hungary backs out a while later, so the mystery of 'how big Hungarian treasury is' will remain unsolved for now.
*siiiiigh*
We will have to call off the war with Hesse early.
I'm not interested in handling this many wars today!
That will do, this time.
We take Prague by assault, losing about six thousand men during it.
Now... we can concentrate on Burgundy.
Burgundy is way too strong and way too remote to be kept in check by us regularly. It's time to divide their lands a bit.
We begin our offensive by invading Burgundian vassal, Duchy of Luxembourg first.
This allows us to keep an eye on their movements.
With Luxembourg's provinces under our control, we move out into Burgundy proper.
The Burgundian king in meanwhile sends troops to Arguin (our African colony) and Hinterpommern (our HRE border).
I have to mention that our friends, Thuringia and Styria, have drawn Hesse and Austria into some big-ass conflict against each other.
Not exactly what the casus belli is, but we ain't getting involved.
As the war goes on, we start upgrading our fortifications to level 3.
First batch is in border provinces - Krakow, Ratibor, Breslau and the exclave of Schwaben - and our capital province of Ostpreussen.
With the piddly Burgundian forces stationed in their lands destroyed, our generals split up their forces.
This way we can besiege 12 provinces at once, boosting our war score and having better chance of forcing demands on the Burgundians.
After many years of blockading their ports, Sweden caves in to our demands.
Per our modus operandi, we won't be holding into Bryansk; Principality of Chernigov has a core on it, so we will try to peddle the province away.
As if!
Prussia needs strong generals, not perfumed wig wearers!
Our king, Friedrich Wilhelm III, passes away in his sleep.
But the dynastic continuation is assured - House of Hesse-Kassel remains strong!
O-ho! We've got a free core~!
We have somewhat amicable relationship with Lusatia, and our monarchs are related, too.
So, unless Lusatians do something stupid, we won't go to war with them.
Burgundians have to release Flanders as sovereign nation and pay us 1000 Ducats!
Then we bully Luxembourg for money, claim revocations and also money.
We HAD an option to annex Bohemia in its entirety, but that would upset quite a few people in and our of Holy Roman Empire.
Instead, we settle on money and claim revocation - their claims for Kalisz and Sieradz come all the way from the 1400s, when they owned these provinces.
Next day, we pawn Bryansk to Chernigov as planned, getting 60 ducats out of the deal.
With all that money, we can finally sponsor that Glorious Monument in Memel.
A refinery for wine produced in Ratibor is also underway.
Money exists to be spent, after all!
