Revision: "Born This Way" Initiative (Average Difficulty)
3+2 = 5: Average

The new 'Born This Way" Initiative successfully makes the SFPBSI look like the repressive and restrictive organization it is, and combined with Daimyo Octavio publicly speaking out against it the Society sees its membership numbers plummet like a rock dropped out of a really high place. Only the die hard core remains, and they lack the crowd power to successfully block off or otherwise intimidate the Giant Octolings from being properly recruited and trained. Well, that and they tended to do stupid things as the tide turned against them and a lot of them got arrested.

As is though, Giant Octolings are now being recruited and trained. With only one 'Heavy Weapon' however, and a relatively crude one at that, available to them one common complaint from their ranks is that after all that build up around it they thought they'd get more cool stuff suited for their talents when they joined.

The Deployment Phase of Summer, Year 1 has begun.
Please vote for which two fronts reinforcements should be actively deployed to in an attempt to push forwards, and also signify which front Dofley should be deployed upon and for what purpose, if there is one besides general support.

Lost outpost is long range, and Dofley is a medium/close range specialist...I feel it might be better to move him to the calamari county if we are attacking there...

Bamboozler Mk 3
Primary Weapon

Rather than attempting to fit the new air-piston mechanism into the body of a Mk 1, the Mk 3 uses a new frame, with a sturdy pair of external rails to support linear pumps able to charge the weapon unaided by the gearing the Mk 2 needed. Once again a streamlined weapon, these new Bamboozlers should be much simpler to manufacture and maintain. The improved Bamboozler nozzles are, of course, still compatible, as the majority of the changes are to the charging mechanism and not the firing mechanism.

S.T.E.P Up
The Superior Trained Enlisted Personal initiative, more commonly referred to as S.T.E.P Up, is a much more focused training regime than the old Home guards weekend warrior setup that has soldiers training six days a week and trains them to be much more than merely being a well trained militia but instead real soldiers. The program follows a routine of a set exhaustive exercises followed by breakfast, then a run through a obstacle course afterwards and some time on a firing range before lunch. After lunch is some tactical training and some more exercises before leading to training on melee and ink channeling and some teamwork practices before dinner, after which is another bit of time on the shooting or melee ranges depending on the area the trainee lacks in. The time this training diverges from this routine is on the day before the soldiers in training have a day off, and on that day the training soldiers practice what they know against each other in a team based fight. Naturally this program will be drilled by a few veterans to make the next soldiers to go out against our enemies the ones that secure our future.

If I remember correctly our soldiers aren't as good as our enemies own so...

Kraken war bow
The next step forward in the use of krakenblade based tech, the kraken war bow is a weapon that generates unstable krakenblade arrows. It takes the form of a bow with a special chamber in the place where the arrow would normally go. and some stuff attached to the area you hold the string. IT works by having the nock set grab ink out of a chamber at the front of the bow, when pulled back this generates an arrow made of ink, one that is highly unstable.

Inkwell
Sub-Weapon

An evolution of the Automatic Balloon Mine, the Inkwell is a deployable auxillary ink pump able to assist deployment of demanding Ink-Tech. Stackable, each Inkwell provides two hoses to supply Ink Tanks and Balloon Mines with all the ink they can handle. Used properly, an Inkwell can fill Balloon Mines fast enough to be used offensively as instant cover.

Each Inkwell draws in ink from below and vents some above itself for a protective coating, and to feed any Inkwell above it.

All our power combined
This special consists of two parts.
The emitter glove, a device simply designed to channel ink energy into the second part. This second part consists of a system designed to harness the ink energy of willing octolings into a sort of avatar around the user. This avatar is formed of raw ink energy and grows larger/stronger with more participating octolings. The avatar is also capable of hovering and armed with a massive inkblade. May those who choose to wield this power channel the might of our people and crush those who appose us.
