Hmm .. the Steam page for Antimatter now shows "This item is currently unavailable in your region" ... does anyone know why?

Edited, because I forgot ... I'm in Germany.

Seems to be working fine for me - it even had some new updates that geoffroypir hasn't graced this topic with.

Edit: I'm in the USA, so it's probably a regional thing; although I couldn't guess why.

It's working just fine here in the Netherlands as well.

I think I found out why, it is described in this post:

https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamworks/announcements/detail/4678768276768588864

Every game now requires an age rating before being sold in Germany. Apparently, Steam also applies that for games not yet released that have a Steam page.
The developer just needs to fill out a form describing the game elements in a link in the above post, and everything should be fine.

Hey everyone,
It has been a while since I have posted on this thread. Here a recap on what was going on since :

Devlog on nukes and natives :
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1343010/view/7066794002031737104

Devlog on the endgame aspect
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1343010/view/4366887660444009235

Devlog on the military
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1343010/view/4554919557258138715

Devlog on shipyards (and other features)
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1343010/view/658185520169354337

And since a few days I am doing multiple short thematic trailers :
Large space battle : https://youtu.be/ue91_WSTyBU (Apparently youtube like this one)
The universe : https://youtu.be/Or7J_-Qpf3U
Colony Management : https://youtu.be/RylvM20F-xU

---

I was caught off-guard with the Germany restriction thing but everything is in place since a few weeks ;)

whatever happened to the poi 2d side view tho? I'm a bit confused about that.
I is still in active dev but on a separate branch (I have sliced development into 2 branches) and I am discreet about progress for now.

I've got your channel as one of my occasional check-for-new-stuff places[1], but hadn't looked for a short while, so expect my own meagre views to add to the respective tallies, shortly. I find your developments quite interesting, and like your style of presenting them, though a bit different from others I might similarly lurk around.

I'm really quite impressed by the scope of your "everything simulator", and how you've managed to work up to this point. I suppose I must also apologise that I've never become more than a sidelines supporter. ;)

...was going to take this over to PMs (had already got part way through the cut-n-paste), but redecided that it'd be slightly more tangible support to actually reply in the open and show a bit more continuing third-party interest. Forgive the slightly less 'meant for the crowd' tone of voice that survives the transfer back again..!

It is really remarkable how you've taken a simple little 2d city game and expanded it into the universe.

That space battle video made me think, I really want to see some sort of top-down, free-panning game where the space battles take place over realistic distances rather than what would be very short range. There's a few 3D games that do it, but they're generally a bit more simmy than gamey.

I just realised I basically want someone to hybridise Starsector and The Expanse, but with battles taking place on the overworld map rather than a dedicated separate map.

With some regularity I check the Steam page to see if there's an open beta yet.
Looks like this will be a gem!

the future of AI, chatgpt/etc bots replying to each other in bulletin boards and online chats :D
Absolutely, at some point bots will probably accuse other bots (and humans) of being a bot.
Perhaps you are all bots  :P  ::)  :o

Yes I really wanted engagment to scale across entire systems and beyond (it was quite a challenge to have a working and fast coordinate system)
It is a bit comparable to "Star Ruler" games.

I am always happy to see familiar names such as yours expressing support for the project.
The project has already taken a long time and is still intangible (except for me), and it is always a good surprise for me to see that many are still enthusiastic about it.

Looks very exciting, and didn't realise you kept updating the first post, really cool seeing all the years of work all together.
