The question is how did he become the honorary judo president in the first place?

Today saw anti-war protests in 44 Russian cities. Another 900-ish arrests were made, bringing the total of arrested protestors since the war started thursday to 4233, according to OVD-info, an independent monitoring group that specifically keeps track of number of arrests during protests.

Damn, my Russian fams are scared of going back to Russia just in case they can't leave. Their fams living in Russia are saying every social media connected to the West is down, can only be accessed with a VPN

Heh, I like the White House's response to Putin announcing the nuclear high alert.

'We see no need to increase the readiness level of our nuclear weapons, since our constant low-level of alert is enough to deter Russian use of nuclear weapons'.

EDIT: for the first time in it's history, the EU will finance the purchase of military equipment for a country that is under attack.
The EU will donate 450 million euros for weapons and another 50 million for medical supplies to the Ukraine, Ursula von der Leyen said.

Russian state TV has been showing re-runs of Medvedev's speech from 2019, in which he says "if at any point in the future, Russia is disconnected from Swift, we will see that as nothing less than a declaration of war".

Either China fully back ups Russia now or they are fucked. Their only other option is nukes bu that is a long shot and a suicide. And China will not back up Russia.

Now  crypto and financial aid from China will go a long way for Putin now.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

BP has decided to let go of it's 19.75% stocks of Russian oil company Rosneft, and withdraw their board members.
They accept that this will evaporate 25 billion dollars BP company value.

The question is how did he become the honorary judo president in the first place?
A throw, joint lock and choke on the previous honorary judo president?

(It's something he does. Along with ice-hockey and riding bears across the permafrost whilst topless. It seems he's forgotten to use his opponents' strengths against themselves, though, so no wonder he's been disqualified from being figurehead of the "gentle way" of the "yielding art".)

Sweden has also decided to drop it's policy of not sending arms to conflict areas, and will send 5000 anti tank weapons, helmets, rations and other equipment to the Ukraine.

Denmark is also sending 2700 anti tank weapons.

Unconfirmed footage of a large explosion in Cherkasy.

Possibly a thermobaric bomb, possibly FOAB.

We'll see.
