Don't worry guys I always had reservations about this whole monarchy idea (true fact!) good thing I have this very egalitarian proposal here, which I made

Actually, I was born ready for the crown, for the responsibilities of our people to be laid on my shoulders and I take that very seriously and am never and have never been willing to shirk those duties.

Furrows in the Earth

We have some barley that we harvest to supplement our hunting and gathering. But with the advent of tamed wildebeest, we have a whole world open ahead of is. The gathering families, already familiar with how and where plants grow, will undertake an effort to create a simple plow, pulled by a wildebeest, such that we can loosen and turn the ground and sow seeds to grow food better and faster.

When asked if he would perhaps like less power and decision making authority, the elder (oldest and largest) of the Chubby family said, “No, not really.”

To give more reasoning, electing a king seems rather unnatural in the absence of a clear military threat or a strong warrior caste. I think having a priesthood and the need for central temples to worship at might be a more natural step forward to provide organization over going straight for a King.

A more reasonable counter-argument than most. I think the confines of the game allow/force us to shortcut at some points, and monarchy was the most common form of government in most of the world for most of history for a reason- but not wanting to take such a shortcut is fair.

Only making this move since discussion on the Discord makes it appear that we're going to have more proposals incoming and I'm not just kicking off a round of vote-moving on my own here - but I really do, in all fact, primarily want more resources give me the resources resources I hunger for resources

Since monarchy isn't gaining enough traction, I'm moving my vote to the other proposal that will get us more Exploit actions.

The Harvest Tales

Our seedkeepers, already an important part of our society, faced an issue. With an increasing divide between landed pastoralists and the more loosely organized gatherers, they found themselves struggling to fit into the growing population.  So, during one gathering around the great baobab, they began to take apprentices - not unusual. However, what was notable was that these large groups of apprentices were chosen from both herder and gathering families, in order to ensure their knowledge reached all parts of society. These groups of apprentices would be organized under each Seedkeeper and follow their lead within each Seedkeeper's zone of wandering and took up aspects of the work, unintentionally specializing each in a part of the seed spreading process. This bled into the tales as well, with the apprentices, directed by their leader, telling them piece by piece, parts of a whole.

Travelling Storytellers

Our seedkeepers, already an important part of our society, faced an issue. With an increasing divide between landed pastoralists and the more loosely organized gatherers, they found themselves struggling to fit into the growing population.  So, during one gathering around the great baobab, they decided to change. No more would each Seedkeeper (and their apprentices) be constrained by a any landmark. Rather, each would be able to choose whether they would return and tell the stories of the Baobab, or if they would follow the great grazing wildebeest herds, teaching and planting in their wake.
