The powers in this version are based on
Xylbot templates. If the ability just has the ability name, like 'copy', 'befriend', etc. it works as the ability normally would work from Xylbot.
- In general, players are not informed of whether they are successful in their action.
- In general, players are not informed of who targeted them. Befriend
does inform the player of the befriender.
- If you're unsure what your power does, pm the mod: some of the powers generated are ambiguously worded and require clarification.
- Poison kills the target at the end of the next phase (i.e. a night-poison will kill the target at the end of the next day).
- Infect kills the target at the end of the next cycle (i.e. a night-infect will kill the target at the end of the following night.
- If a player is infected, anyone they target will also become infected.
- Players are not informed when they are poisoned or infected or primed.
- Cure removes poison and infect status; Protect prevents someone from being Killed or Ignited (but not primed).
- Frame also changes the alignment results in census and befriend actions.
- If a power gives half or a third of a list (of names, abilities etc), the number of items will be rounded down.
- A Role is a role name plus all abilities the player with that role name has minus their mafiakill, if they have one, and minus any lines related to the role owner's alignment.
- If an ability allows you to use it twice in a phase and you can pick your target(s) then you can change targets between usage.
- Unless a power states that it targets a random player or yourself, it normally cannot self-target. I.e. if your power is
once per night you can block your target, you can't choose yourself.
- The actual player names will replace the dummy names in the "person" section of the source-code.
- The initial setup will be generated with an interesting and an attempt at a fair balance of roles, but any roles/abilities generated during the game (in gifts etc.) will be whatever comes up first on a random generation (providing it's legal for the setup).
- If a player is subject to a rule which says they appear as a third-party on flip or inspection, a specific and consistent 3rd party role will be generated for that purpose.
- Players can have roles which grant them multiple abilities, but unless they can double-act, they may only perform one ability per day or night phase. Auto-abilities don't count towards this limit. The mafiakill does count.
