Disease and sickness

I thought of this just now, so it may not be that thought out.

What about plagues? Diseases? Pandemics? Colds in the winter?

Sometimes it seems like dwarves are hard to kill unless they are physically attacked by another creature: But what about diseases spreading?

Goblins might bring germs they are immune to but you are not. Sick people must be quarantined, killed, or treated.

This would also be another reason to have a doctor job, so he can make vaccines, medicine, and he can treat minor colds and such.

Oh yeah, I thought of this because I'm sick right now (bleh).

This is a good idea; shown by how it's been suggested before and is in the dev notes   :p

I think this is part of one of the more major arcs, so I don't think it'll be around very soon.   But who knows!

If dwarves get sick, it should effect their ability to work, making them slower. Another idea is that diseases arent noticed at first, but after awhile when the symptoms show, and by then the whole fortress is already bearing the germ ^^

well there are already potions, maybe illnes is implemented when poisons and antidoted are finished
