Pig tail bed along regular ones (or even instead of)
« on: August 08, 2009, 05:52:05 pm »

...because I dont have a hard time fathoming pig tail cloth sleeping sacks, or those things you hang inbetween two posts.

In fact I have an easier time picturing that than beds made purely out of wood (might as well sleep in the floor)

Please use the search feature before making a suggestion. Lots of people don't like that they have to use wood to make beds, and many of them suggest using cloth instead or in addition to it.

The idea's been around for a while; cloth mattresses and/or sheets as upgrades to wooden beds seems the most elegant solution to me.

Hammocks, strung between two walls. High-density dormitories!

The frame should be the upgrade if anything

There are a lot of suggestions like this, ranging from simple metal beds to complex "bed, mattress, and sheets, which could be built individually or in any combination for stronger happy thoughts".

Please try to find another thread with the suggestion before you create a new one.

Hey guys, here's a brand new idea, how about you (gasp) keep on topic and discuss the idea (for or against it, I dont mind)? There are ideas getting reposted here every week without anyone complaining, and the closest one to this was the pig tail bedrolls idea which is TWO YEARS OLD.

The basic bed unit should be the cloth bedding, not the frame of the bed. Beds would consist of 3 parts; the bedding, the mattress and the frame. They would be constructed like wells and traps, allowing you to skip placing a mattress and/or the frame if you so choose. The happy thought from sleeping would be severely affected by the composition of the bed, capping it at a lower level if a piece of the bed is missing. A bedroom can hardly be called royal if you're sleeping on the floor! Additionally, the discomfort of sleeping on a rough surface would be eliminated by the mattress, not the act of sleeping in a bed instead of the ground

riiiiiiiight

Thank you for following the rules of the forum, ChairmanPoo, which state that it is preferable to bump old, related threads rather than create new ones.

Might as well lock the thread, since apparently some people insist on complaining about the repost instead of discussing the matter
